atamez: so I guess the obvious questions are - is the ignition switched-on?
- Is the bonnet latch open
- does the car have SFD (see here)

Good- The bonnet latch is not an OBD11 thing - it's a specific requirement imposed by the boffins @ VW/Audi for accessing the CAN network via the diagnostic port on ALL late model vehicles. I have no idea why!! Don

Who knows!! I also tried on my Audi SQ5 and my wife's Q5 and no problems with Audi (both ate 2018) Thanks for the support!! I know that maybe I have to make another post for this but maybe you can help me, I installed some lowering springs to my GTI and now I have the headlights pointing down, is there a procedure to make headlights to be illuminating higher?

atamez : It really does depend on the type of equipment that the car uses to control the headlight assemblies - there are a few different options. If your car has a module @ address hex55 then look here. Or maybe undertake the same process on the hex4B module -if your car has one of these

I am having this problem since yesterday. Everything worked fine on 3 different Octavias (mine, brothers and friends car). Yesterday I changed the fuel filter and wanted to prime the fuel and during connection phase I got "Check ignition and try again". If I click try again I get the same message again. If I click continue then I have to select my car manually from the list. After I do that it reads only 7 modules instead of 17 or something like that. I have OBDeleven 2 device around 8 months. Everything was fine since yesterday.
There is no difference if I try to connect with opened or closed bonnet. I tried it on another (brothers) car, and I get the same message and same behavior.
Mine car is Octavia diesel 2016, brother also has Octavia diesel 2016, and friend has Octavia diesel 2019.
Last time when it worked correctly was on September 10th, afternoon. Since then it was in its box and yesterday I used it to prime the fuel after changing the filter.
I can see there was an application update exactly on September 10th. Was there any change that could mess something?

Yes they messed up the Android app...... Please raise an issue via the online help system. In essence the current release 0.45 no longer connects automatically (in my and a few other cases anyway) This is the current process I have to go through each time to connect to my car. But each time you log off and try to log back on again you get this process.

If you get his error revert back to your garage and select the car you want (if like me more than 1) and then it will connect

I’m receiving the same issue on my Audi TDI. Went to put into service mode for rear brakes. Error says “check ignition and try again.” Hood is open, parking brake off, and ignition on but engine not running. Currently showing 12.6v on battery.
