Don,
This is noted and also for the Lichtfunktion D4 on Leuchte4TFL LB4.
For the first objective, let me put it this way clearly:
The DRLs are at 127 brightness anytime, whether I have the main low beam light on or not. Now, this is not nice to the other drivers at night. I want to tell the DRLs to reduce the brightness to say level 30, when the main beam light is On. This is what I simply need, and it's not happening with current settings as seen in the latest admap.

kaume : Hmmm........... I still do not understand.
With your current settings and with the DRLs now working correctly - the illumination of the DRL lamps with the rotary light switch in the AUTO position and when the Rain-Light sensor turns-ON the low-beam lights (at nighttime) is determined by the following channels: - Left-side DRL: ENG116939-ENG115938-Leuchte3SL VRB21-Dimmwert CD 3 > 30
- Right -side DRL: ENG116938-ENG115919-Leuchte2SL VLB10-Dimmwert CD 2 > 30
As you can see, the illumination levels are 30%

Hi Don,
I am happy to report that the DRLs are now working as desired. The two objectives are now achieved. I did a little tweak on the Leuchte2SL VLB10 and Leuchte3SL VRB21 Dimmwert AB value, (changed from 127 to 100) and Boom!, the brightness started reducing to 30 whenever the Low beam lamps are on at AUTO, or 4th position.

........ to achieve your Objective-1, we need to tell the DRL Leuchte-sets to operate in the following manner: - When the rotary light switch is on the position - the DRL lamps = full illumination
- When the rotary light switch is on the AUTO, or position - the DRL lamps = 30% illumination
......... do the following: - Change the current setting not active to Standlicht vorn (Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) for the following channels:
- ENG116938-ENG115914-Leuchte2SL VLB10-Lichtfunktion B 2
- ENG116939-ENG115933-Leuchte3SL VRB21-Lichtfunktion B 3
- ENG116940-ENG115952-Leuchte4TFL LB4-Lichtfunktion B 4
- ENG116941-ENG115971-Leuchte5 TFL RB32-Lichtfunktion B 5
After achieving the desired output, I had to revert the settings on the above 4 functions back to not active as I needed to retain the function of parking lights at the (3rd) position of the rotary light switch. Now the outputs of the Rotary Light switch at the 4 positions are as follows: Positon 1 ( 0): Everything is off - no lights at all Positon 2 ( AUTO): DRLs at 100% (if during daylight), or Low beam lamp+DRLs at 30% (if during night/darkness) Positon 3 ( ): Parking lights (DRLs at 30%) Positon 4 ( ): Low beam lamp + DRLs at 30% This is everything that I desired. Thanks alot for the guidance.

Can you please explain how to set the maximum brightness of my drl when I drive? Thank you

OK -without making this a Leuchte master-class, maybe a short Leuchte-lesson might help answer your question?
A Leuchte-set has 19 x adaptation channels and for the purpose of this reply, it can be functionally divided into 2 x fundamental parts:
- Lamp set-up - 3 x adaptation channels
- Lamp control - 16 x adaptation channels
And, the Lamp control part (above) can be further sub-divided into 4 x separate "Banks". The functional and structural arrangement of each "Bank" is the same and each "Bank" consists of 4 x channels.
With the understanding above as a preface, the full anatomy of the 19 x channels in a Leuchte-set is like this: Lamp set-up- Lasttyp
- Lampendefektbit Position
- Fehlerort mittleres Byte DTC-DFCC
Lamp control
- Bank 1
- Lichtfunktion A
- Lichtfunktion B
- Dimmwert AB
- Lichtansteuerung HD AB
- Bank 2
- Lichtfunktion C
- Lichtfunktion D
- Dimmwert CD
- Dimming Direction CD
- Bank 3
- Lichtfunktion E
- Lichtfunktion F
- Dimmwert EF
- Dimming Direction EF
- Bank 4
- Lichtfunktion G
- Lichtfunktion H
- Dimmwert GH
- Dimming Direction GH
The sequence of the channels above is NOT as VCDS displays (because VCDS uses leading "Tag" numbers before the channel name) - but the channels are ordered as I list above in OBD11 Back-up records and on OBD11 screens (so OBD11 is much better-er IMO)
Specifically for your question - notice that each "Bank" contains a pair of Lichtfunktion channels. The value in each of these channels allows the lamp to operate as a separate "light function". The value in the Dimmwert channel then assigns an illumination level to the Lichtfunktion-pair. This relationship between "light function"-pair and dimming value applies separately for each individual "Bank".
So, a complete Leuchte-set permits a lamp to operate up to 8 x different lighting functions with up to 4 x different dimming levels (actually, a Leuchte-set controls a single pin on one of the 3 x sockets on the central electrics module, rather than controlling a "lamp" as I say in this reply)
For Leuchte2SL VLB10 and Leuchte3SL VRB21 on your admap: - Bank 1 is assigned to the DRL function and Dimmwert AB=100 - so the lamps allocated to these Leuchte-sets have full illumination when the DRL function operates
- Bank 2 is assigned to the PL function and Dimmwert CD =30 - so the lamps have dimmed illumination when the low-beam lights switch-ON. This dimming level also applies when the Single-Side-Parking-Light function is activated!
End of lesson - grasshopper!
