Hello colleagues, I am going to try to contribute my knowledge as best as possible since I am from Spain and the translator can sometimes fail.
I have been informing myself in the skoda and vw post as well, to be able to shed some light on this.
mbackonja , I think you are missing some steps and others are a little confused, the errors that occur when you put reverse, such as SOS failure, are due to the lack of steps in the Emergency Assist coding, in this option to activate the following:
A5: long coding, emergency assist - EA Variant 4, and it does not belong to the Travel Assist coding, therefore, you get a series of errors related to SOS assistance, below I describe the exact coding for your SOS assistant to work as expected without any errors in the picture.
1- module 09 - adaptation - Fahrerassistenz Blinkenfunktione (or also called flashing function) - Fahrerassistenz Blinkenfunktionen -Wechselblinken Warnblinken Bremsblinken.
2- Warnblinken durch Fahrerasassistenz -activated. Hupen durch Fahrerasassistenz -activated.
3- Travel Assist -activated. (This last step that I put in does not appear in my car, but it activates it for people who see it).
4- Innenlicht durch_Fahrerasassistenz-activated.
Next we leave module 09 to go to module:
1- 03 and in adaptation, we select delay management-emergency assistant-activate. (Changing the value to 03 starts a series of errors in the virtual. Turn the ignition off and on again, the errors disappear by themselves.)
And finally we go to the module
2- A5-long coding- emergency assist - EA Variant 4.
This last step together with the other previous ones will ensure that you have the SOS emergency assistance option completely activated, and not like before, which was incorrectly configured, not within travel assistance, which does not belong there.
IMPORTANT!! BE VERY CAREFUL WITH TRYING THIS SOS ASSISTANCE CODING AS THE VEHICLE WILL ATTEMPT TO MAKE THE EMERGENCY CALL WITH AUDI AND MAY NOT BE ABLE TO CUT OFF THAT EMERGENCY CALL). The performance of this system will be as follows: it will suddenly make a couple of strong shocks, it will sound the horn, turn on the emergency lights and finally it will make the call to Audi and I think to the SOS authorities as well.
With that said, now on to travel assistance coding. First of all: BE CAREFUL with the car that turns ONLY BUT DOES NOT DECREASE THE SPEED in curves or at intersections.
We begin.
1- A5- complete coding- point of intervention - early setting over menu. (activates adaptive lane guidance with the possibility of setting the intensity in the menu). Early intervention causes the car to veer toward the center of the lane instead of spinning like a ping pong ball between the lane markings.
2- Hc variant - variant 2.
And as I see it was missing.
3- HC Warn Intensity- Setting_over_menu. (activates the trip assistance menu).
4- Lane Assist Off Text- activated. (displays an icon on the dashboard to show whether Travel Assist is activated or not).
And then we go to the module
13- complete coding and activate travel assist. (This step doesn't let me activate it, I don't know why).
With these steps we will have activated travel assist correctly.
As my colleague says, I have also read that to eliminate all the error messages that constantly appear when the steering wheel touch detection is defective, the KLR option in the A5 module - full encoding should be deactivated. And I have also read that it must be deactivated in module 13 - long coding - capacitive steering wheel.
I have also found this other video in case it is of any use.
This is what I can contribute and up to this point I know.
