Oh no...i hope that someone will find soon a workaround:( I noticed that a lot of tweaks can be obtained in different ways...from adaption, manual coding..a big business! probably my model shoud be hacked differently than usual..

Guys, I have an early morning issue happening. I could not get my fog lights to work on high beam. I came across a post that detailed Byte 14, bit 3 to enable this. I went into long coding and the first three bits were enabled (1,2 & 3). So I thought instead of just exiting, I would press the gree check button, and it told me "coding accepted" Here is the before and after setting 09 Central Electrics Date: 2016-09-21 02:55 Mileage: 3622 km Long coding: Old value: 00111A464041A2F969E44000001407201800000000000000000000000000 New value: 00111A464041A2F969E44000001407201800000000000000000000000000 As can be seen, the OLD value is the same as the NEW value, but now after doing this I have the yellow triangel, and a message that pops up saying 09 central electrics incorrect coding, and it throws a fault: Lighting failure on the info screen on the dash. I have tried clearing the codes, and resetting the infotainment but this error remains. Any ideas please? UPDATED: PLEASE SEE NEXT POST BELOW (otherwise known as operator error)....

OPPSSS!!!! MY BAD (and stupidity!)
Refering to my previous post, the lighting error had nothing to do with the coding above. I had just completed a Euro LED tail light install with rear fog light option enabled, and in the adaptation, I chose the LED Lamp option. That was last night, I quickly tested it, it worked, and I went inside and thought nothing else of it. I was making some changes this morning and "noticed" the problem as stated in my previous post.
Turns out that if you are going to retrofit your rear tails with the OEM LED lights (which are awesome BTW), and want the rear fog light option, choose option 9, which is the one for the Guhllampe 27W: H15, and not the LED option.
I did not delete this post because someone else could benefit in case you find yourself in a similar situation.
Happy messing!
Mark

I have no idea whether this will work and my suggestion is totally untested, but you might want to try the following: - Select Central Electrics
- Select Security Access
- Enter magic number 31347
- Select Adaptation
- Search for Assistance light functions
- Select Notbremsanzeige NBA (which means in English) emergency brake announcementNBA
- change value to active
- exit software
- Drive at reasonable speed with someone driving behind the car
- When safe to do so, brake hard and see whether the brake lights flash
As I said, this is just a guess, but the RoW vehicles in my database have this channel setting as "active" whereas the NAR models have a factory setting of "not active"

I think this means the LEDs will stay lit while the turn signal is on, right? Is there a video of this Adaptstion somewhere?

Hi. Could someone assist in translating step by step with the last item in the rain sensing mod please?
Rain Closing Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access code 31347 Adaptation (15) Access Control 2-Regenschliessen_ein_aus Value: Permanent (16) Access Control 2-Regenschliessen_art Value: Permanent (28) Zugriffskontrolle 2-Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen Value:Aktif Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Control unit Long Coding Subsystem: Rain / Light Sensor (RLS) Byte 0 Bit 1-Bit 2 DeActivate
Specifically the codinf byte 0 of rain ligh sensor light system.
I went into coding. Found regen licht sensor. Clicked it and it offered options. Not sure what to select. Then i click the 0-1 on top right to see the bytes. It says to untick bit 1 and 2 of byte 0. I dont think im in the right area because it is not ticked. Please help. 😆

First, I assume that you have read the countelss posts on various forums where folk that have tried this tweak have reported that it doesn't work. That said, some have succeeded in getting this function to operate - I hope that you are in this latter category!!
OK - now to your question - where did you get those instructions??? Here is a copy of the long coding helper screen from VCDS that shows what the Bits actually do:
As you can see, for this tweak, you need to ENABLE the two bits - not "Deactivate" them as per your instructions. I have read in a few posts where some have gotten this function to work by only enabling Bit 2, but as I said, this is a particularly temperamental tweak and the original instructions did have both Bits enabled.
Good luck - and don't be too disappointed if you can't get the tweak to work!!!!

Hello, i just got my OBD11 and i can't figure out how i can change Drive Profile. I don't have that button in dashboard because i thought that i could change driving profile with OBD11. I activated Drive Profile but can't find how to change the actual profile. So is it possible to change this with obd11? or do i need to buy all the accessories needed?

Gar nicht. Da alle verbauten led der blinker als eine leuchte hinterlegt sind. Bei youtube gibts jemanden der hat das für hinten gemacht, aber das ist eine hardware sache und keine codierung

Any new code for the MY17? Alltrack QC: Not sure if you are aware, but VW's control modules get cranky if you try an incorrect security code. They generally "spit-the-dummy" and they show their disgust by locking-out for a period of time (about ten minutes, sometimes less). The lock-out time is measured with the ignition turned-on The magic number 31347 doesn't work on the Brakes module - try 20103. If this is not successful wait a while (lock-out time) with the ignition turned-on and then try 40168

Wald: In order of questions asked:
1 - look at the previous post by AlltrackQC
2. - Here is the adaptation-set for CH function
Check that the adaptation channel settings in the boxed-set in the picture are as shown.
3. The lap timer requires a particular firmware capability in the Dashboard module- I suspect that your car doesn't have this capability (alas)

I was wondering if there is any code for disable the warning light on the dash saying: Danger of icy roads? It is getting really annoying.

Hi you guys. I was wondering if there is any code for disable the warning light on the dash saying: Danger of icy roads? It is getting really annoying. Looking forward to hearing from you. - Best regards Mark - 2014 Golf mk7 golfmk7:
I'm not aware of a procedure to disable the Road Ice facility entirely, but you can alter the temperature(s) for the alarm/warning-message.
But first you need to understand the concept of Hysteresis , which is an engineering term. Hysteresis is a function that is embedded in a "closed-loop" system that differentiates between the switch-on and switch-off thresholds. In the Road Ice facility on a mk7, hysteresis is used to minimise driver annoyance in that there are two temperatures used: the lower temperature in the Road Ice facility is the temperature at which the warning message and alarm inititates - the higher temperature is the temperature at which the warning message clears. Without hysteresis, the driver would be continuously bombarded with alarms as the ambient temperature changes by a fraction of a degree around the threshold!
So here's how to change the Road Ice temperatures:
- Select Dashboard module @ address hex17
- Select Security access
- Enter the magic number 20103 - Note: this security code will only work for pre MY16 vehicles for this tweak
- Select Adaptation
- Follow the screenshot below
Don
PS: The 2 x adaptation channels shown in the picture above have a maximum limit. Entries over 10 degrees Celsius won't be accepted PPS: It is strongly suggested that a differential of at least 2 degrees Celsius (as per the factory settings) be allowed to avoid repeated alarms/warning messages - read explanation of Hysteresis above

Got my Rear LED Tail Lights from BEC which did not come with OBDeleven instructions. Can someone help me out? I'd like the turn signals to be the amber bulbs instead of the outer red lights, and currently, when I have the lights on (not DRL), all bulbs are lit, including the amber and the outer red lights act as the turn signal.
So, I need to program it where the ambers are off unless a turn signal is on, in other words. Thank you!
