Two ideas: You didn't buy precrash (Proactive Protection). That is the feature that will close your windows and roof and tightens your seatbelts when there is the chance to crash. Other idea: It is just a setting in the OBD database, but that setting does not match your ACC sensors hardware, therefore it is disabled. Database files are created by VW for more than one sensor at a time. The OBD devs can only import them as they are. I don't rember but I think precrash wasn't an optional on my2015 golf I've found some code in mib 2 unit and I've modified. now I see the option in driver assistance menu but i dont receive any messagge when tick that option.

Even from factory, there is nothing to see besides the checkbox in the MIB. Still, precrash has to be enabled in the door control units (plus you need the reversible belt tighteners hardware) and probably some parameters for the gateway to close the windows and roof

Curious if there was a way to add the drive mode profile selections to the infotainment...I picked up a 2017 (NAR) GTI S and the buttons are not working, vehicle is currently set to a custom profile but I have no way to change it until I can get back to a dealer next week....Performance monitor works, I can change traction settings from the infotainment, just hoping to access the drive modes for the time being. Also, where would I check for the LED/bulb brightness for the gear indicator (DSG), it does not light up as well.

Hello everyone, is there a code to keep the display of the km of autonomy in the fuel gauge (as shown in the photo) even with a full tank? This one would be cool to have all the time, Leung you know the range without having to be in the vehicle status screen of the MMI.

I wanted my tail lights still to be turned on when opening my trunk, I activated the app for it, but now instead the trunk ones still goes out, but the ones on the car itself turns on my hazard lights (turns on, not blinking)
Is this a bug?

knugen - Try this: Leuchte20BR LA71 and Leuchte21BR RC8 - Lichtfunktion G > Rueckfahrlicht (nicht aktiv)
- Dimmwert GH >127 (0)
Don PS: the values in brackets should be your existing settings - don't make my suggested changes if these are not your existing settings

Hello, just purchased an OBDeleven pro. I was wondering if I can keep my DRL on when unlocking the car? Or to explain it better, for the DRL to stay on until I lock my car.

This would only be possible if you are adding "Innenbeleuchtung" (Interior lightning) to Leuchte 2,3,4, 5 When I tried this, I got errors regarding the DRL and did not investigate that further.
Please not that this will follow the interior lightning: opening doors, BCM timeout, opening/closing the car, so it is quite hacked.

Hi All, reaching out for some help. I bought a MIB2 for my ‘14 GTD, got a dealer to unlock but they couldn’t get any volume. Put the mib1 unit back in but now I’ve lost the link to the driving profile selection button. The button lights up when pressed, and reports activated when pressed in the live data, but the button is listed as not coded/ not installed. Hope someone can advise how fix the link, as I’m getting bored with eco mode. Thanks

stewartw : Hi. I'm fairly certain that the driving profile selection facility is what's called SWAP ( Software As Product) - which means that it requires a special license that's specific to your car's VIN.
When you "got a dealer to unlock" the new MIB2 (which deals with Component Protection), the factory licenses (these are called Facility Enablement Codes - FECs) on your car would have been transferred to the new unit.
When you subsequently re-fitted the old MIB, you would have needed the Component Protection process to be undertaken again. Did the dealer re-authorize the factory FECs to the original MIB as part of the repeat CP process?

hello! @obdeleven and dv52 (Australia)Can you help with this problems? I'm trying to code the following two functions. "Drive Profile on ODB" In long coding Byte 08 a have active "display messenges for drive program functions via bap". I don't think it is related to the Drive Profile on ODB. In "Rain Closing" I can't find in long coding "(28) Zugriffskontrolle 2-Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen Value:Aktif" I noticed that with many encodings there are no long coding descriptions. My car is VW golf 7 2017 1.4TSI 150KM 6MT. Thanks for the help! Drive Profile on ODB Select Control unit 19 Control unit long coding Byte 08 Bit 4 Activate Rain Closing Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access code 31347 Adaptation (15) Access Control 2-Regenschliessen_ein_aus Value: Permanent (16) Access Control 2-Regenschliessen_art Value: Permanent (28) Zugriffskontrolle 2-Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen Value:Aktif Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Control unit Long Coding Subsystem: Rain / Light Sensor (RLS) Byte 0 Bit 1-Bit 2 DeActivate

I think the 2017 will have the wrong rain sensor in to do that mod,

kamilp : As vwjap is saying, the auto rain close tweak has been problematic on mk7s. Some can get it to work, but others can't. There's a theory that says that it depends on the type of rain sensor that's installed on the car - but I'm not sure Anyway, on your MY17 Golf, the adaptation channels can be found in ZV Komfort instead of Access control 2I'm not sure about the hex19 long-code question - but to toggle between the Bit boxes and the descriptions on the long-code screens, click on the starred part of my picture below:

Hi, I tried to code according to the instructions Its from OBDeleven Instruction: Go to [09] Central Electronics
Go to Secuity Access and enter 31347
Go to adaptation channels and set the following:
- (15) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_ein aus (Rain Closing on / off) - Select Active
- (16) Access Control 2 - Regenschliessen_art (Rain closing Type) set to Permanent
- (28) Access Control 2 - Menuesteuerung Regenschliessen (Menu Control Rain close) – Set to Active (enables the menu in the ifotainment screen)
Go to [09] Central Electronics
Rain and light sensor (could be RLS or RHLS subsystem)
Byte 0
Enable:
Bit 1 Regenlicht aktiv (rain light active)
Bit 2 Regenschliessen aktiv (rain closing active)
My Old coding…..00A8DD
My New coding….06A8DD
ZV Komfort does not exist in my car. But after coding I have option in Menu: I tried different configurations: automatic wipers at low speed, high speed, opening one window, opening all of them And its not working

Hi all,
I have a 2014 mk7 golf se.
I have noticed that the speedo, Rev counter and gauge needles don’t light up. I have tried changing the module 17 illumination algorithm adaptions but when I try to save it it says it’s unavailable? Does that mean they will never light up or am I doing something wrong?
Many thanks Liam

Liam: please don't make multiple posts about the same matter in different parts of the forum (it's against the rules and its infuriating)
I asked in your other post which model mk7 you had - now I know (because you disclosed it in this post).......grrrrr!!!
OK- the reason why you can't find the "algorithm adaption" is because your hex17 module is too old - the algorithm channel only appeared in later mk7s
On your car, the illumination function is set by software switches in the hex17 module long-code string - Look at Byte1, Bit 0 and Bit 1 if these are not set - flip the values

I have tried adding in the security code you mentioned previously, no change. Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated Thanks Liam
