In 13, use long coding to disable "capacitive steering wheel" In A5, use long coding to disable "KLR" This should get rid of all error messages popping up constantly when the steering wheel touch detection is faulty. I have the capacitive steering wheel, with these modifications will it stop asking me for control every 10 seconds?

Nope. It will still bug you about being in charge. To get rid of the message, you will have to move the wheel instead of touching it.
This is only helpful for people getting continuous errors and limitations from a faulty touch detection and makes no sense at all for comfort reasons

Hello everyone. Unfortunately, I have the "normal" steering wheel and the message every 10 seconds is of course annoying.
There must be a way to turn that off? Since the steering wheel wants to detect an active movement, every 10 seconds it looks like I'm drunk :-D.
The "hc_messages" setting is not responsible for this?

Nope. The A5 is monitoring messages from the steering (for momentum) and the gateway (for hands on, when equipped) on its very own.
There is no way I can imagine to disable these checks. With capacitive hands on detection, there are ways to tamper it with electronics.
I do not think the old workarounds with weights glued to the steering will still work

I wish to deactivate the START/STOP system but I can't find the right parameter.
1.1.38 Deactivate start-stop system [SFD: yes] Control unit 19 [Tested SW: 7084-7312] Adjustments: Slave_component_list: Battery Monitoring Control Module: no
Which is the password for the SFD ? I have the italian version of OB11, someone can help me?

As far as I know (read on different forums) on eTSI (mild-hybrid) you cannot disable SS system at all.

I mean it should be fine on yours. I have tried on my car (1.5 eTSI) tried on another 1.5 eTSI but with no luck. Car is "coasting" and therefore SS cannot be disabled. Even if you use the "Disable Start/Stop" button from the infotainment system a strange behavior is present. If you take your foot from the gas pedal at let's say 30kmh the engine will stop, car is doing "coasting" until you fully stop at a red light for example. Then the cross A appears (as the SS is disabled) and the engine fires up.
On a 1.0 petrol engine without mild hybrid one of my colleagues managed to disable Start Stop by unplugging a small connector on the positive (+) terminal of the battery. The car complains about a 12v system issue but works well and never stops the engine.

I have bought the 20 euros module from the manual ( Golf 8 start/stop cancel ) but there is no installation instructions included. I have contacted the seller for instructions. question: does anyone have experience with installing this module? Once (and if...) I get a reply from the seller I will keep you updated. My car: 2022 Golf Mk8 GTE (1.4 TSI)

Here's a few to add to your list. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Seems to disable the temperature warning, regardless of the outside tempYou mention this change in 1.1.35 which let's you adjust the outside warning temperature. The following configuration seems eliminates the warning. I've tested this below -10c (14f) and it still didn't warn. 08 Air Conditioning -> adaptations -> outside_temperature p_ice_warning_exit_temperature default: 6.0 new: 10.0 p_ice_warning_entry_temperature default: 4.0 new: -10.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Automatically turns on fog lights when the headlights go onNote - The light IDs may not be the same in Europe but it works in the US * If there is already a value in D12 or D13 that isn't "nicht aktiv" use E12 and E13 09 Central Electronics - Adaptations -> Leuchte 13 NL R B5
Lichtfunktion D 13 default: nicht aktiv new: Abblendlicht rechts
Leuchte 12 NL L B45
Lichtfunktion D 12 default: nicht aktiv new: Abblendlicht links
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Powered liftgate modification - Allow key to operate trunk
09 Central Electrics -> ZV Heck -> Direktauswurf_heckdeckel: default: not active new: active ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Audio Quality Upgrade for non-HK systems
Note - For those without the harman kardon system this mod changes the OEM DSP to provide slightly better sound, at least in my opinion this has nothing to do with the infotainment EQ it's audio processing before it. There's a bunch of branded systems for some reason only the beats has a noticeable affect
5f multimedia -? adaptations-> function_configuration_sound->brand_sound
default: No_Brand_Sound (For non-hk cars) new: Beats
----------------------- Disable dashboard view transition animation
This removes the animation when you change the view on the dashboard, the new gauge cluster screen instantly appears
dashboard 17 -> adaptations-> lock display contents -> lock
default: off new: on

Is this the only change i need to apply to get rid of error messages? Ive seen that i would need to change HC Variante in A5 as well? Ill most probably get a new steering wheel but it will take roughly 6 month to arrive..... in the meantime i want to simply deact/mute the travel assist. vg

I am unsure how well Hc variant 2 (travel assist) works without regarding the klr state. In case it is to sensitive, you can also go down to variant 0 which is the basic lane departure warning, no ta avaliable

Fyi, 1.1.11 did not work on my mk8 gte. Sw version is 0159. Also, i do not have the "iginition_active_message" field, i simply have a field "---" under clamp_control. I set this to "No Display" yet nothing happened.

Just got a GTI without a rain sensor option. Is it 100% no rain sensor? Or is there a way to find that out and mb code-activate?

Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose support.obdeleven.com/en/articles/5685742-what-is-sfdAs for the rain sensor, look thru the front of the windshield top center. The rain sensor should be visible between the back of the glass and the rear view mirror if it's installed. I believe non-rain sensor cars come with different windshield glass - no spot for the sensor to mount.

Regarding 1.2.5 Tail lights to daytime running lights. Is this only tail lights or also the license plate, light bar and interior lights? I only want the tail lights active with DRL not the other lights.
Does anybody know how to code this?

What about that unfinished R-style driving mode button on a steering wheel from the 2nd pdf. Anyone figured it out?
