A3 8V headlights code DRL LED

Hello to everyone.
I was searching the web for some answers but I couldn't find anything useful.
I would like to know if it is possible to set the headlights like this:
In "0" mode- no lights at all
In "Auto" mode- during the day (bright) only LED stripes are on (no ambition lights, no taillights, no Xenon). When is gets darker (night, tunnel, rain, etc.) full headlights are on (Main Xenon+ tail lights+ ambition lights).
Rest of the modes - regular settings

Is it possible to code module like this?

Hmm......... there is lots that I do NOT understand about "Yankee" cars (they are significantly different to Rest-of-World models)  but I also am not aware of the word "ambition" when used as a term referring to headlight function!!  "Ambition" must be a local American term and I will assume that it's the same as "Public-lights", or "Position-lights" - maybe?

Anyway, if I'm reading the rest of your words correctly (and my apology if I'm mistaken) - I'm guessing that your wants can be achieved if we disable the Daytime Running Lights (DRLs) on this car when the rotary-light-switch is in the 0 position.

If I'm not correct, please explain your wants again - but using different words

If my understanding IS correct, then try this:

1. Fire-up VCDS and navigate to the Open Controller screen for the 09-Cent. Elect. module
2. Select Security Access-16 and enter the magic number 31347
3. Back on the Open Controller screen, select Adaptation-10
4. Enter "auto" into the search box and select IDE06864-ENG115734-Daytime running lights-Tagfahrlicht nur in Schalterstellung AUTO
5. Change setting to active and press Do it! - follow the prompts to implement the amendment
6. Exit VCDS software

Hi, thank you for the answer.
By "ambition light" I meant interior lights (clocks)
I got 4 modes of exterior lights and I would like them to work like this:
0- nothing works
Auto- DRL during the day (only front DRL LED stripes; not taillights, no interior lights); "dark mode"- headlights on, taillights on, interior lights on
Position lights- works almost perfect right now (led stripe and taillights on. But I want this mode to use only front LED stripe)
Full headlights mode- works ok now (full lights- front, tail, interior).

So I've learnt a new term (I always delight in learning new stuff) - albeit the logic why Americans use that particular word (i.e. "Ambition") when referring to the instrument lights escapes me!  Anyway, this question is probably up there with the other big mysteries in life that continue to evade my feeble intellect - not that the art-form "Strine" (look it up) isn't likewise replete with English vernacular!!  

As for your wants - the tweak that I included in my previous response should provide most (all?) of the lighting behavior that you describe. I suggest that you implement the coding change and then tell me what (if anything) is missing!

hmm........ it depends on how the car is coded to turn-ON those lamps (there are multiple ways of doing this) - Again, start with my suggested tweak and we can move-on from there! 

This car looks like it is from Japan - What country is this?
