I searched around a bit but couldn't seem to find a solution to my issue so I was hoping someone here might help me.
I'm having a little trouble getting my puddle lights working on my folding mirrors I purchased from Alliexpress. I got everything else coded (mirrors fold with key fob, passenger dips with reverse) but the puddle lights don't seem to be working during the coming home/leaving home function.
I went to both driver and passenger control modules to Byte 01 and checked Bits 0-4 and unchecked 5-7, and I have front_field_light set to active. I'm sure I'm just missing something small but can't figure it out.
I do have the newer style BCM.
Thanks

I figured I should respond with my fix incase anyone else has the same problem.
I found out the issue was actually with the Optix brand dynamic turn signals I purchased from eBay and installed at the same time as folding mirrors. This brand turn signals is missing a pin for the plug and apparently it disables puddle light.
I purchased another set of dynamic turn signals from AliExpress for cheaper then the eBay set and the puddle lights worked right away. Hope this helps anyone else with the same issue.

Friend, I'm installing the puddle light on my golf. How you installed and coded it to work. Which pin should I connect? How did you encode in OBDeleven? Thanks.

Very good. On which pins did you use the positive and negative? Thanks for helping me.

Hello, take a look at VIDEO This post can help you.
Otherwise you will have to take tension of the central lights of the ceiling, above the rearview mirror.
a greeting
Friend, the video shows the door exit light. This one I already coded and works perfectly. I wanted to know was the rear-view mirror light (puddle light), the same as in the photo above. Thank you very much.

I thought you were talking about the puddle light (light under the rearview mirror) and not the door exit light. As I see it, you connected the two together, correct? Excuse me.

Hello Eli
- Front_Field_Light = Exterior courtesy light under the exterior mirror (illuminates the ground)
- Door_Exit_Light = Puddle light when opening the door (Lights up the ground so as not to put your foot in a "puddle" when getting out of the car)
- Inside_Door_Handle_Light = Lights on the door handles
- Ambiente_Light = LED strips on the door panels and door sill.
A greeting.
Understand. The explanation is very good. It's because I see here on the site that the nomenclatures mix, so I get a little confused. But I mean Front_Field_Light = External courtesy light under the external mirror (illuminates the floor). How did you do the coding and do you know which are the positive and negative pins of Front_Field_Light = External courtesy light under the external mirror (illuminates the floor)? Thanks.

Hello Eli Watch this video, the process is for the door puddle light, but the connection is for the light of the exterior rearview mirror.
To place the appropriate PIN, on the white tab, activate with OBDeleven the - Front_Field_Light = Exterior courtesy light under the exterior mirror (illuminates the ground), and you are testing with the red wire in which pin position the led turns on.
A greeting.
Friend, but the video teaches the connection to Door_Exit_Light, where the positive is pin 16 of the 32-pin connector. Front_Field_Light, on the other hand, is positive on pin 1 of the 16-pin connector. That is, the functions of the two lights are different. Door_Exit_Light lights up when you open the door and goes out when you close the door. The Front_Field_Light turns on when you unlock the car on the remote control and goes off when you turn on the ignition or lock the car on the remote control.
