^^^^ Admin: if the answer to hardy445's question is that he/she? doesn't have a Anti-theft alarm siren, then my tweak instructions to enable accoustic acknowledgement for lock/unlock- through the car's horn (not the alarm siren) can be found HEREDon |

Yes. My car is a Golf 7 GTD mit Fahrerassistentpaket. Dieses beinhaltet anti theft security system "plus"

I do have the OEM Alarm and used the App. I do not get a signal when locking.(choosed option for only lock signal)

Warum bekomme ich keine Antwort? Schlechter Service! TheoryX/hardy455: If you already have the alarm siren installed from the factory, the instructions for Acoustic acknowledgement are as follows:
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Select Central Electrics (@ address Hex09)
- Select Security Access and enter the magic number 31347
- Select Adaptations and search for Acknowledgement signals
- Select yes for Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegeln if you want acoustic feedback for unlock
- Select yes for Akustische Rueckmeldung verriegeln if you want acoustic feedback for lock
- Select active for Menuesteuerung akustische Rueckmeldung (Acoustic lock menu)
- Select active for Akustische Rueckmeldung global
- Shut-down OBD11 software and remove dongle -cycle ignition key and proceed to step 8.
In-car procedure: - Press the CAR button on the RHS of the infotainment screen
- Select SETUP on the bottom RHS of the screen (looks like a cog)
- Select Opening & closing panel
- Place a tick in Acoustic confirmation box. The facility can be turned ON/OFF via this switch

PS: I'm not sure which adaptation channels the APP alters, but you should make sure that the setting for Akustische Rueckmeldung Signalhorn is not active if you have the alarm siren installed (the setting is meant to be active, only if the car-horn is used for acoustic feedback)

If so, you need to go into Coding from the Central electrics control module and check the entry for the setting of the box that I have enclosed in the picture below. In my car, there is no alarm siren, so the entry is not installed. I don't speak German, but DWA in the enclosed box means DiebstahWamAnlage (I guess) which is German for Anti-theft Alarm (I think).

I am having trouble with this. I have a 2015 NAR Golf R with OEM alarm. The car with honk when it is locked and unlocked and that can be toggled on and off in the the cars menu, but I am wanting the alarm chirp to beep with lock/unlock not the horn. The horn is to loud for my liking.

Since you currently have the car-horn sounding for lock/unlock, the setting on this channel will be active. To make the alarm siren work for lock/unlock - change this to not activeDon |

Having the same problem.
My car had oem alarm. Tried with the application to set on lock/unlock.
Doesn't work.
Change to only lock, same, wont beep..

Morning all, not sure if its the same on the Golf but on other cars you need to go to Car Settings Menu and do a factory Reset before this works.

In my VW Polo 6C 1.4 TDI there, in the long coding, it also shows an entry called "horn_acknowledgement_via_adaptation_configurable" which is currently set to "No". I haven't yet tried to play with it. I have only performed the changes in the adaptation channels (similar to the change described here but also with the Akustische Rückmeldung global adaptation channel set), but nothing happened (except the new entry in the infotainment for switching the feature)
I may give it a try on the long coding bit as well, but would like to learn a bit more of the risk of things going south with the BCM.
Do you guys have any history of bricked BCM's due to incorrect long coding?

i have not OEM alarm and my problem is it: works when i open the door with the key (one sound) but when i close no sound at all !!
Someone whould have an explanation for that ?

chauverie : my apology - I missed your question (my only excuse is old age and an over fondness for single-malt!!  )
As you can read from my instructions, step 4 (Akustische Rueckmeldung entriegeln) is the channel that tells the module to sound the horn when you unlock the car. If the tweak works for the lock function, I suggest that you look at the setting for this channrl - I guess!!
