Hi all,
So I've noticed on my FL e-Golf (but not so much/at all on my non-FL e-Golf) that the power steering gets heavier if the car is in B mode (and to a lesser degree, the D1,D2, and D3 modes), but the steering is super light in D.
The Eco and Eco+ modes don't change the steering feel.
I prefer the lighter steering from the D mode, but I don't know if this can be changed in OBD11, and if so how to do so. Steering is one of the systems im more apprehensive to explore and play around in without some sort of guidance. Intuitively it feels like the car is just changing the power steering settings with driving mode, but my understanding is that the driving modes on the gas engined cars are equivalent to the eco mode settings on the e-Golf, and not the "transmission" gear settings on the shifter which is the thing that changes the steering feel on my car.
I notice the shifter also changes the 'weight' of the accelerator pedal, however I don't mind that so much as it helps me remember if I have regenerative brake active or not.
Does anyone have any clues for what I might want to look at here? I know that the e-Golf isn't the most common MQB car but I'm hoping someone here can figure it out!

sparkle: you are correct "the e-Golf isn't the most common MQB car" (at least , not down here in the Antipodes)! I suggest (guess, really) that you look at the adaptation channels in the Steering Assist module @ address hex44. Perhaps something in the channel name will be evocative of your wants - perhaps

In combustion engines we have "uncoupled" several features (Headlights, ACC) from the driving profile selection by disabling them in the Charisma / Driving profiles in the gateway.
I did not found a matching coding, so its a lot of work to fiddle out which bit is for the Steering: * Select the driving mode you want to steering to keep * Connect OBD11: Make a backup of Control Mode 19 before changing anything!! * Now enter long Coding of Module 19 * You will see several "FPA_Function"-Values. All active values are enabling an Driving profile function. * Disable one, disconnect OBD, leave and lock the car for ~15 Minutes - check if steering is missing from individual profile. I think you might have a good start with EPS (Electric Power Steering) - they are mixing German and English abbrevations of "VW-Language" (komplex terms you almost can't figure out if you don't work at their engineering)
