As a pay-it-forward gesture, I am offering my service to activate TJA/ALA on golf Rs w/ the appropriate vehicle requirements – please see information in link below – for free. I have been looking to get this done on my vehicle – 2019 golf r – for a while, but have not been able to find anyone that was within reasonable distance that had a VCP. I decided to purchase the device, and do it myself. I followed the instructions as per the great write up by Tac on the golfmk7 forum www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=48068it works as described. Some caveats. It does not eliminate the automatic_driveaway_after_short_stop w/in 3sec, and it does not eliminate the ALA message to take over steering. From my understanding, all it does is allow ALA – active lane assist – under 40MPH as compared to ACC w/ ALA which is active above 40MPH. All other ACC/ALA functions remain the same. Please read the post by Tac as to the requirements and considerations if you are interested in coordinating w/ me to get it done. Again I provide this free of charge. Why? Simply b/c I want to pay it forward in return for all the time people benevolently spend posting helpful information – like Tac, as mentioned above. I also want to share the use of this $350 VCP, as the only reason I purchased it for was to activate TJA. I am located in Philadelphia, 19125. The nature of my profession makes for a tight and unpredictable work schedule. The weekends, when I'm free/available, are much easier to coordinate. Please thank Tac for his detailed post if you find it useful and/or interesting. PM me if interested. eric

Already had my finger on the trigger Just a big thank you. Thats how this should work - and not chasing maximum profit after having bought an interface. In Europe we can also enable Emergency Assist with TJA - bringing the car to full stop when the driver does not touch the steering for some time while in ALG? (Needs EPB and DSG/Auto for full function). Maybe you can try this out on a NAR-Car? A5: Set EA-Variant to 2 (should be 1, which only touches the brakes once at the third warning), if not coded, there might be a coding needed in the brakes, which makes this complicated 13: Enable EmergencyAssist 09: Depending on the MY there is Coding or Adaption "Warnblinken durch Fahrassistenz" - Enable this to have Hazard lights blinking when the function kicks in

I don’t think it’s when the function kicks in dude, as mine is set to active and I think it comes on at a lower speed, as when I tried it first you get a beep and a note on the dash at about 13 seconds, then about 27 seconds it gives you the beep and note again, then a couple of seconds later it hits the brakes to jolt you, then it slows down (I only went from 70 to 60 to see what happened in a test and the hazards didn’t come on)
