Description of bug: before V17 i was able to connect everything else but engine ecu. Only exeption was my friends fabia rs where i was able to connect only to 46. Now with 17 i am able to connect only to 03 and 46 so problem is much worse than before.
Android software version: 9
Phone: oneplus 3
Dongle variant: gen1 and gen2 (both has this problem)
Car: Passat b5 1.9tdi AHU 1998, skoda Fabia rs 2005 tdi and Audi A6 V6 tdi (all have this problem.)

Description of bug: Have tried to do a DSG Reset on my car and as there is no app for this did it using dv52 (Australia) Instructions here forum.obdeleven.com/post/5723 However when I tried to do this on my car I got error message (13) Function cannot be performed, mess. length or format incorrect I did try changing the Diagnostic session but that made no difference and I would also point out in the list under control unit 02 it shows Diagnosis mode for safety-related systems but when I select that I get an error message saying not valid for this control unit (so why is it there). jaco2k with a Facelift car got the same problem (eg not working) but slightly different error message obdeleven.proboards.com/post/32934I also note that the Golf guys are having issues obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/7197/transmission-reset?page=1&scrollTo=31657 and there is some dispute about if the engine should be on or not could somebody please confirm if engine should be on and fix the bug. And just to add to the above post, I have just been out to check if it did anything just on ignition (dont see why it would but it has been reported as working) and I get the same error (13) Function cannot be performed, mess. length or format incorrect
I have also been through a lot of the other settings on the TCU Hex 2 and they all show the same error.
I then went to output test and there is only one item listed Gear Shift Lock Solenoid Control Circuit
the test status showed Loading then got the red line (11) Function not available

In the Dashboard electronics I am trying to change the Road Ice Temperature warning temperatures, I can get to the selection for these two temperatures, but after changing them and pressing the check button to have the adaption accepted I have received two different messages at different times, first is (31) Function not available, then I try again I get (7F) Function cannot be performed, incorrect diagnostic mode. I am in the VW Diagnostic mode and then have changed to others with the same result. Also, when I press the check button I have received the message that the Login code is incorrect, I have used 25327, which is given in the OBDeleven app for the Dashboard, I have tried the others and get the same message. The app is very inconsistent to say the least.

For release 17.1 I am still getting the following errors 1/ When I first logged on after the download I had lost the nextgen device from my list, but had no problems getting it back again. 2/ when going from ignition only to turn on engine i loose connection to dongle and have to reset connection 3/ When emailing the faults after a scan the email was empty 4/ Live data for oil temp in engine control unit is incorrect still 5/ Chart data is still not in Alphabetic order (like it used to be and would at least make it a little easier to find data till you put in search section) 6/ Still showing control unit 56 Radio in offline control units when i dont have it in live (as its all included in 5F i think) 7/ Still unable to email single control unit backups (there is a workaround but can we have the button back please) 8/ Still got issue with number of faults not showing the correct value
Sorry for the small picture but the IBB Site seem's to have a failed security certificate.

11/ After running the scan with the issues I tried to email the results and got blank mail after both the scan and when I had deleted the errors.

First, I installed the new version 0.17.1 although this seems to be for the First Gen units. Entered the Control Unit: Dashboard, then Security Access:25327, got message that login accepted, searched "out" got outside temperature, went down to the Road Ice Entry and Exit temperatures and entered 01 and 03 (really want 0degC and 2degC) and pressed the check button, unit went to security access code entry screen and do looped through this about 5 times before I finally got the message (31) Function not available. So what I am doing wrong or is this function just not available? |

Hi,
In A5 driver assistance in adaptation I can't change anymore:
Directional stabilization assist driver inact deactiv threshold
Directional stab. assist.: intensity: steering wheel vibration
Directional stab. assist.: intensity: power steering support
When i try to change settings, shows up login window
I wrote code 20103 then i click green button, but login windw shows again.
All other adaptations i can change normally.
(1019-10-30 i could change this 3 adaptations normally)

Description of Bug: When I look at control unit 02 offline it does not show the long coding option in the menu. Connected to the car and long coding is shown. Checked my backups and the all show long coding accepted. Now long coding is shown (see pics below of the issue) Further I noticed the control unit number gets a bit confused. When I log on the status is shown as green (correct as i have not run a scan and there are no faults saved. However as soon as i go to the control unit it changes to Red (correct because it is now showing a fault) but when I log off and back on the status is changed to Green even though the database should know there is an error. Control unit 08 doing a backup because my last backup on the 19/11 had 18 advanced id's now it shows 30 last backup showed 5 live data items (wrong) but now shows 87 but i think there are 119 live data items Control unit 13 Apaptive Crise Control

I would also raise a couple question here,
1/ As you do not put the live data elements (and dont see the need for it either) in the backup why are you showing the count here. 2/ I presume the Advanced ID's dont change very often so do they need to be included in the main backup extract as this is just bloating the file, can see the need for some people to be able to view and extract the data but not convinced its needed in this extract - but happy if others want it.
Original Offline Picture as you can see after Live Data there is Adaptions but no long coding
When connected to the Car after live data I get the Long Coding. Now when I go offline I can see the long coding
I know that dv52 (Australia) Would like a better format for the history extracts so the data can be pulled into SQL Databases easier. However I have just noticed a new feature (which I am sure has been there a while)

gevan I presume you have used this facility before on this phone. First thing I would try is clear the data cache of the oBD11 Device and see if that makes any difference.

Hi testeronline, I cleaned the data cache but still showing the same error.
I have a doubt since the backups had been made on another mobile phone with Android 6 and now I have another device with Android 9: Where are the backups stored, in the cloud or in the phone memory or in the micro SD memory?

gevan backups are stored on voltas servers (don't know if they are cloud based), i personally use android 9 and it works ok. do you still have the old phone to check its phone related (which i think it is), one quick check we can do i have input an email link in this thread
this is not a real email address just checking the mailto function on your phone
when you click on it (from your phone) does it bring up email services

Hello, I'm a new member and I have a problem:
Description of bug: I cannot automatically connect to the car. If I click connect in the home page, then will appear a popup that ask to me to try again or continue. If I select try again, the popup will appear again, if I click continue and then I click my car (previously added by VIN) the app seems to be connected but I can only access the Gateway and the Climate Control. I cannot access any other units.

It's my first device and I'm a private user with pro license but I just have an Audi TT 8N 2001. I tried the device with the car of a colleague, Audi Q3 2013, and I was able to connect quickly and I performed normally a scan. This unfortunately doesn't happen with my car 😔

Just a little update: tonight I received the update for Android 10. Update installed but obdeleven still have the same behaviour
Update 20.01.2020:
I tried with the iOS version of OBDEleven with an iPhone 6 and, unfortunately, the behaviour is the same of the Android version.
I tried my car with the VAG-COM of a friend and I was able to scan the car.
Hope you will find soon a solution.
