Installed 5H0927225AUYN on a 2022 R.
Does nothing. The switch doesn't even light up.
Unsure if there's missing wires on the NAR harness or what.

Dumb. The reason why this didn’t meet regulations is so stupid too. 🙄

I know this is probably a dead thread, but is there a way to do a retrofit and code auto-hold? My 23 USDM GTI Autobahn just has a blank spot for the auto-hold.

Uh a tough one. You need a new dataset and coding for the brakes, brake boost and possibly engine ECU. All of them very scarce and coding is mostly unnacounted (no verbose descriptions, purely binary). As this is a US car, the control units might not even accept the datasets from european cars- I guess the part numbers for the CUs are different... Anyhow, changing any of these without extensive knowlegde can affect the road safery of you and all people around you. Having autohold ia not worth risking loosing braking and hurting or killing someone. A frendly reccomendation is to let this retrofit go.

Doesn’t need a dataset. Only reason I think it would is if you had to retrofit a module or something. But as far as I know it doesn’t need one. Just the switch, and the auto hold wire that has to be wired to the ABS module, etc. from what I heard it’s a monumental pain the behind. After the wiring is done it’s just some coding for the brakes module
