Hi, Can someone point out to me where in the app you go to code new injectors. I've been searching it for the past few days and I cant see it. Looking at the forms I see it can be done, but I just cant figure out where it is :/
Thanks

Will help people to help you if you told us the car you have and the Year (older models will have different instructions)

Apologies, first time using the forums, but I've been using the app a few years now. I just assumed it would be the same format for every vehicle🙈.
2015 golf 1.6tdi.

johnb : Hi. So depending on the country, a "2015 golf 1.6tdi" is very likely a mk7 - maybe? If so, this car will have a CAYC engine and again if so, there are a bunch of injector calibration channels in Adaptation on the 01 Engine module like this: - Injector 1 correction value
- Injector 2 correction value
- Injector 3 correction value
- Injector 4 correction value
From my MQB platform database, the settings in the adaptation channels above are a 7 x digit alphanumeric value (examples: ARSF7IB, BIAIEAE , 8R1ACED, AAIEASA). Each of these values corresponds to the 7 x alphanumeric number that's stamped on the individual physical injector.

Thanks for that, I can see in the app now how it works. Apologies for not getting back sooner, one month old baby in the house so I don't get much time to myself anymore :/ One last question - How can I check the current readings of each injector. From what I'm reading, its just a matter of selecting channel 13. But as you can see from the image below it wont allow me to select a channel. I have to select one of the predetermined channels. I've selected them all, and none of them seem to related to injection quantity. Is there a way to change the interface to allow me to choose a channel instead?

Sorry to butt in but in simple terms OBD11 (and other diagnostic devices) show what is in the control unit.
In order to see channel numbers then you must have a non UDS control unit (eg older car)
If you are seeing labels then you have a UDS control unit so you will see answer in your live data.
Congrats on the little one

whataboutthis : Hi again. Hmmm......... I'm very confused (not unusual for me given the decrepit state of my mental capacity!! ) OP says: Of course I'm always willing to be corrected, but isn't an MY15 Golf extremely likely to be built on a MQB platform - and therefore have modules using UDS/ODX protocols?
What am I missing?

Okay, thx guys. This is a technical as I've ever done with this app. The most I've ever done is swap out brake pads etc.
I seen vids of 2.0 TDI and I assumed you would have the same functionality in the 1.6tdi. But they are obviously older cars.
Would there be a forum on showing how to test injectors for the UDS platform?
Long story short, A few months back, The golf got diagnosed with bad/poor injectors that may fail next week or in 5 years time. Id just like to run through some injector cleaner first to see if there is an improvement before swapping out the injectors.
There seems to be a little more white smoke these days, so I might as well try to fix it :/

whataboutthis : Arrhh........ I see - you were referring to the channel number reference in OP's post!! johnb : The confusion here (probably just mine) is that you are referring to a channel number in your post. Golf cars that were built before your vehicle used an older control module design where adaptation channels were given numbers (like your reference to "channel 13") However, the newer UDS based design of modules in your mk7 Golf use words (and sometimes numbers) to identify adaptation channels. The 4 x relevant adaptation channel names for the injectors on your model Golf are as I indicated in my first reply.
To increase your confidence in the coding process and before you attempt an injector change - it maybe beneficial to check how the existing injectors on this car are coded - try this: - Fire-up OBD11 software and connect to the dongle
- Go to the Control Units screen and select Engine module
- Scroll-down the options and select Adaptation
- In the search box, enter "Injector" and select Injector 1 correction value
- Note the value currently entered into the channel
- On the actual engine, identify cylinder 1 - and note the number that's physically stamped on the injector housing. For example, for the injector below, the number would be 8IHX6SH.
The value physically stamped on the injector should be the same as the coded value - If you were to change the injector, this screen would be used to change the value of this adaptation channel.
- A couple of important matters to be aware-of:
- In VCDS, it's necessary to enter upper-case characters. Not sure about OBD11, but because I suspect that this is a module requirement, it's probably the same.
- Take care to correctly distinguish I & 1 and O & 0

Pawe : The 5 digit code is the security access code for the engine module (read HERE).
For injector adaptation (calibration) on MQB platform cars ONLY - try 12233

Do you know how I can adapt the new value for the injectors ? the old and new value has a 20 digit alphanumeric number but I can't adapt a value this long ! www.youtube.com/channel/UCNpWsJPY4YsjMhYmHHEmLYw/community?lb=UgkxeKUYj33T7PMFJOiC5qImbUgcqn7i2O1G(image)
