I have purchased a Golf GTI Mk7 DSG6 from the end of 2016, EU model (Spain), it is a fabulous car, it has been a good purchase opportunity (25,000 km), and I am very satisfied.
I have a problem and a question with the addressable Bixenon.
I have observed that when I turn on the xenons inside the garage of my house, the Xenons do not do the check, that is, they raise and lower the beam of light neither vertically nor horizontally, that is, they turn on without the check and they work well.
In my previous car a BMW 330ix, when I turned on the xenon towards the check the beam of light both horizontally and vertically.
My question and my doubt, is, is it normal that in the WV Golf mk7 with addressable bixenon the light beam does not make this check.
Buy the OBDeleven and do a scan of the electronic units, everything perfect, no faults or errors.
I would be very grateful if you would inform me if it is normal that my Bixenons do not do that check of the light beam to which I refer.
Thank you very much and greetings

Normally, they do a reference run immediately after the start of the engine. This run will start independently of the lights actually turned on. It is just the motors moving, so that makes no difference.
You can check the 55 Headlight regulation adaptions: "Reference Run Start Condition" (should be engigne start, Terminal 15 on does not work reliable - Skoda tried that for us from factory :-) ) and "Presentation run dynamic AFS lght" to be active.

Thank you very much newty The explanation has cleared up my doubts.
NOTE .: A ZERO "0", for the moderator thirsty , who edited my post and deleted my question made in SPANISH, (below I put the English translation in deference to the forum). Look at you Mr Thirsty, I am very proud to be SPANISH, and you should know that in the world there are about 483 million people who speak it, being the second most spoken language in the world after Chinese. English is still in third place with some 360 million people who speak it. If it bothered you or violated any rule of the forum (I have read the rules and it does not break any), you could have deleted the English translation that was under the question in Spanish, placed under a dashed line in second place. The Spanish have bought and paid for OBDeleven ...., like everyone else and we have the right to express ourselves in our language, SPANISH.

Hello again newtyThis afternoon I have checked and it is indeed as you say. With the lights on Automatic, I turn the key to position 2, and at that moment the light beam goes up and down and turns from left to right Thank you very much for your help and for taking a load off me with this issue of the lights, the truth is that I was worried if it was a fault. A cordial greeting.
