MMI 5f red screen Activation Keys

Hello, 

long story short, I a while back updated my mmi units firmware without saving the settings (my bad). Since then i have lost Bluetooth and voice controls. I even went to an Audi workshop to fix this non Bluetooth and they were unable to fix as they did not what was wrong. After digging the internet, it seems to me that the Bluetooth module needs an Activation Key license to ‘turn on’, is this correct?

from the images below is my red screen menus, i see 00050000 (Bluetooth) is supported, should this be allowed? Also, would anyone know what the other keys are and how to Activate them?

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Im not entirely sure how to copy the long code from the 5f unit off OBDeleven but I presume the following would help. My unit is the Panasonic 8v0035864c. All i am asking is... does the Bluetooth module require a license to be operational and in the red screen in my case is it active?

A quick update...I managed to get a donor 5f unit and changed to this. When in the red screen menu went to Activation keys, I saw that 00050000 (Bluetooth) had been both Allowed and Supported, thus it appears the Bluetooth module in these devices need an Activation Key (licence) to be unlocked to work. Wtf Volkswagen AG?? seriously! Nearly all modern cars have Bluetooth built in as standard, and even the authorised Audi workshop I went to did not know how to fix it with their pricy ODIS system....what a con!

a3neo: yes, Bluetooth is SWAP and it does have a FEC (the one that you have identified). I'm not sure if your unit has the FEC, but the Bluetooth enabling software switches in the MMI are in Byte 16 and according to your scan report, these switches are enabled on your MMI.

So, what you are saying is I need the FEC to activate Bluetooth...is that something I can do or do I need to get an authorised Audi to do? Could I obtain these FEC off the donor unit via export/import?

a3neo. No, OBD11 can't help with SWAP/FEC, you need the dealer tool ODIS for this.
