Is it possible to code the R32 MK5 to perform the Right Mirror Dip on Reverse? I as because there are very little apps in the Apps section of the ODBEleven software, it mainly has apps for the head unit that is not stock and one to reset the service alert (which you don't need the app for) and a few minor lighting related apps.

It can be done. Officially, this requires "memory seats" to be installed, but after some fiddling, I got it to work on my MK5 without it If you PM me your e-mail address I can send you the labels that you would use in OBDeleven (just ensure you backup your configuration first).

Any chance you can post how to do it here?

No the 2 MHT files I created are 5 megabytes each and as such exceeds the attachment size allowed here. I'll create a thread and re-direct everyone's queries to that thread as I keep having to answer the same questions each time for various vehicles.

Matthew would it be possible if I could get the coding for this off you if I PM you my email? Yes, you can PM your e-mail. I'll send you screenshots. My MK5 does not have memory seats, but I do have the option to synchronize my mirrors. When I shift my RHD car in reverse (DSG) the mirrors then dip allowing me to see the ground on both sides. It works for my MK5, so let's see if it works for yours.

Can you send me the coding ? I do not know if it is possible with a manual car, but PM me your e-mail address, and I'll send you the same screenshots that I've been sending to everyone else.

I got the option enable and I can see it in the car confort setting but even if i activate it it does not dip down when in reverse.... I don't know if its because I need to calibrate something or too put the switch on the door into a certain position ...

I don't know if its because I need to calibrate something or too put the switch on the door into a certain position ... I think you should first try to calibrate it. In reverse gear and set position with switch.
First you have to enable the function in comfort settings - I understand you've already done that. Second: The Switch has to be in Position R for adjustment. Third: Select reverse gear. Forth: Set the position of right mirror you would like with adjusting knob. Calibration will be saved automatically, but only for actual used car-key.
This works only with the right mirror.
The mirror should go back into normal position if you go forward faster than 15 km/h.
Let me know if it works.

Saving your present setting / coding is simply e-mailing your SCANNED results to yourself. The e-mail icon is in the upper-right hand corner of the window

Thank you, Theoretically, your car should have "memory seat" for the driver side installed. You can get the module, or do some trickery with your wiring. On my 2008 MK5 Golf GTI if is just a matter of enabling module #46 to have Byte #14 and Bit #7 to "ON" (or checked). The VCDS label for that is "Mirror Lowering with Reverse Rear (only with Memory Seats).

Hey I recently bought an obdeleven for my 08 GTI (manual), and I was wondering if you could send me the coding for the mirror dip. I think is a really cool feature to have. I’m new too the whole long coding thing so I’m a little scared to mess anything up. If you could that would be awesome.

Manual??? I "think" the option is for DSG only, but you will correct me if I'm wrong when you try it on your car. You will need "memory seats" for the driver side installed however, and the window switch knob turned to the opposing mirror. I keep my mirrors in synchronized to make the feature work better for me. I sent it to your inbox just the same

I'm going to finish this thread for all who keep PM'ing me about the steps:
I'll soon update the description appropriately
You also need to go to Gateway #19
Enable Byte 2, Bit7
Enable Byte 3, Bit 7
Again, these steps are for MY car with the 30-byte highline modules. It most likely be the same for yours as well

Hello here, thx for quite precise instalation manual with videos here. Anyway, can i ask for help? I also tried to install reverse mirror motor with parking function. But... i failed. Maybe can somebody check my wiring? At first i tried: Mirror motor Door Unit |___________1____________|__________2_________| |___________2____________|__________4_________| |___________3____________|__________1_________| |___________4____________|______blank_________| |___________5____________|__________3_________| |___________6____________|__________5_________| |___________7____________|__________9_________| |___________8____________|__________12________| I had switched polarity maybe, so if i moved mirror controller left, mirror motor went down, and so on. When i engage reverse gear, and back to neutral, mirror motor did strange moves-UP, DOWN, LEFT, RIGHT, again and again... Without sense. And stopped in wrong position. So i tried another pinout Mirror motor Door Unit |___________1____________|__________3_________| |___________2____________|__________12________| |___________3____________|__________9_________| |___________4____________|______blank_________| |___________5____________|__________2_________| |___________6____________|__________5_________| |___________7____________|__________1_________| |___________8____________|__________4_________| Now, when i move mirror controller left, mirror motor goes left, and so on. It looks OK. But when i engage reverse gear, nothing happens. I tried "learning procedure" with mirrors, also any improvement. Is this wiring OK? I am sure only for pins 2,6,8. But i am not sure about pins 1,3,5,7 My car : Vw Touran 2008 (without memory seats) Driver door unit 1T0 959 701 N ( +256 added ) Passenger door unit 1T0 959 702 N ( +256 added , from time to time i get fault codes 01736 - Potentiometer for Mirror Adj. Vertical; Drivers Side 01735 - Potentiometer for Mirror Adj. Horizontal; Pass., when i clear them, them appear sometimes, but not in every moment) CAN Gateway 1K0 907 530 Q ( Enabled Byte 2, Bit7 and enabled Byte 3, Bit 7 - driver and passenger memory seats enabled ) Central electric 3C8 937 049 E Central conv. 1K0 959 433 CR ( Byte 14 bit 7, mirror with memory seats enabled ) Window motor 3D0959578C
Rear view parking mirror on MFD enabled
