Hi,
I have pro and I can't seem to get it to show misfire counts. It says unavailable when using. Is there extra codes I have to install to get it to work? I watched the video deutsch auto put up but I can't find the "search" to look up misfire counter.

Same here, do we have to somehow "unlock" this feature?

Yeah this is really annoying, i bought obdeleven mainly because i watched that video and needed to check misfires, and would you look at that, just my luck.. Cant code anything either it just says ''something went wrong, please try again'' and no, clearing my cache doesnt help. There's no guidance on anything on this f'in device..

Same here,
Engine\Live Data
NO Search =>no way to chose what you do want to look at. And Yes I want to see misfires too. They are on different channels it seems 1-3 on 15, 4 on 16...... flipping left and right??? no way.
Why are the channels and the data presented without descriptions, aren't we supposed to know what we are looking at??
Car\live data bunch of things there but no way to customise.
To be fair .... disappointed... will be returning it if I do not manage to solve it in the next few days.
Car is a Tig MY10, Samsung s7.

Just checked mine on a 2014 Seat Cupra 280 Engine Code CJXA Logged on and scanned car (wont make any difference but i always turn everything off (eg radio, airco etc) so that electric is in a good state) took blue button to control unit screen, Select Engine 01 Control Unit (see screen shot) Then I checked out the Faults screen (just because that is what the Deutche Video did) As you can see there were none. Then back to main menu and select Live Data and you get the option screen In the Search Bar i typed in Mis Then I selected a number of the various Misfire options Hit the ok button and then got the following Live Data Screen. All of the above done with ignition on and engine off. But every car / engine combination is different so (and I do not know the answer) it is possible your model does not support this function.

I too used to use this misfire counter for my C7 A6 and now it's no longer available.
Can someone from OBDEleven respond?

Essman I would suggest you contact support directly via the app on Monday as they do read the forum but you will get a much quicker response via help options.
FYI I have just tried on my Cupra 2014 using software version 0.9.1.5 and it still works fine.

Misfire sum counter - shows zero or one (rarely) to me (TSI 1.4 103kw CHPA) Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cyl. X intake manif. injection - do not appear in the list Misfires per 1000 revolutions of cylinder X - show zero values The number of misfires, cylinder X - appears as a counter started once in the past and it displays values in thousands (and they grow slowly...) Here they used Misfire sum counter and The number of misfires, cylinder X https://

booboo83 i have the same engine (CHPA) and have the same behavior with random misfires logged in the ECU. The car doesn't feel like it has a misfire. The check engine light is not on and has never been on.
Have you found out if there is an actual problem?

Hey booboo83, the issue isn't resolved, the car still logs misfires (but unless you're reading that specific data you wouldn't be able to tell. I am at 85000km and the misfires are at 37k/24k/21k/25k New spark plugs didn't fix the issue, I am not going to change the coils until I can actually feel the misfires. The rate of misfires isn't increasing or decreasing, but I have been tracking it only for the last 20000km

Before I got OBDeleven I encountered some missfire. I changed sparkplug, coils but it still wouldn't run normal. After a while I heard some vacuum leaks that sounded like dump valve. Found out that the recirculation valve was broken. Some others problems that recirculation valve gave was missfire, first one coil than all of them, turbo problems, oksygen sensor problems and crank house ventilasjon issues. Change the recirculation valve and all the fault codes disappeared.

Hi all. Maybe outdated thread, but since my last reply the misfires at 120.500 km are 9100 / 7793 / 7170 / 11288. Also, I get two times the faults P030XXX in the winter 2019/2020, for the first time they were intermittent and I took a full tank of a fresh petrol and cleared the faults and they were gone. Just to came back after about two months as a permanent state and also the epc dashboard icon came up. The same procedure was applied, fresh petrol and faults clearance and since now that faults did not come back. Here is the principle for a counting of the misfires vs faults (in czech) forum.skodahome.cz/topic/161317-v%C3%BDpadky-na-v%C3%A1lc%C3%ADch-14-tsi-czda/#comment-2580492The thought about the change of the recirculation valve is interesting. But does it apply for 1.4 engines with wastegate please?
