Has anyone figured out an antidote for the "Something Went Wrong. Try Again" message we get in some modules? In my case it's Air Conditioning but others have encountered it elsewhere as well. I e-mailed OBD Eleven again about this last week and didn't get much of an answer.

Anyone getting "device failed to update" after the app gets updated and attempts to update the dongle? Nothing is working for me. Tried clearing cache and data from task manager, reinstalled the app, nothing.

Hi i want to reactivate my seat belt warning.
I followed the instructions:
Seat Belt Warning Deactivation Select Control unit 17 (Dashboard) Adaptation Select:Disable channel belt warning Value:Yes Control unit long coding Byte 0 Bit 2-4 DeActivate
Can somebody please tell me which bits are activated from factory? Because i remember not all of them were actually activated :-(

So what exactly does this adaptation do?
Rear Wiper Adjustment on Car Menu Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access code 31347 Adaptation (2) Select Rear wiper-menu control Comfort Wipe HW Value=Not Active

I believe comfort wipe does one more wipe a few seconds after you spray your rear glass

OK, thanks. What I'm looking for is something to slow down the interval wiping rate of the rear wiper.

Comfort rear wiper . I think it is when you have front wipers on that the rear wiper will wipe from time to time automatic and will wipe automatik when you put in reverse gear.

Hi all, just gotten a used 2014 GTI. And this GTI seems to have some coding done by the previous owner before.
As such, may I know what would be the default value for these in order to disable the activation of fog light(either left or right) when using left or right blinker and steering turning left and right.
Fog Lights With Blinker Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access Code 31347 Adaptation (2)-Static AFS Light Vorschrift Value=FMVSS 517 108
Cornering Fog Light Activation Select Control unit 09 (Central Electrics) Security access Access Code 31347 Adaptation (5) Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion B12 auswählen Select:Abbiegelicht links (5) Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion B13 auswählen Select:Abbiegelicht rechts

I am trying to activate "High Beam Assist Memory" - where the high beam assist function stays on all the time, without having to activate every time on re-start. I was told that there was an OBDeleven app to run this coding, but it does not show up in the apps for my vehicle, which is a US 2017 Golf R, with a build date of Feb 2017.
Does anyone have info on whether this is available to me?

Would this work for R lights

Hello brunotoga, i only have the coding for normal halogen indicator to stays on. But this would not help you because the r golf has led front indicators and they will be named not identic with halogen (leuchte.....) the next problem is you can not tell the led indicators how bright they are illuminated they are on with full brightness or off, thats what i read in web. With halogen indicator you can set the brightness like you want to or dimm them with footwell lights. Here is coding for halogen front indicator (this will not work for you i think) obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/167/coding-adaptationsHere is coding for dimmable with footwell lights obdeleven.proboards.com/thread/630/click-apps-requestsWould this work for R lights

No it does not work for r lights because they are led.

Ok the coding for led is the same. But there is no way to dimm them. They are fully on or off. The dimmwert has to be not set to 100 it has to be set to 127. And some people say that the led will flash sometime a little. The funktion with footwell lights will not work because the led can not be dimmed. I coded this only with normal halogen bulbs, and this works perfect

Damiel: Hi - I've been reading your posts with interest and I'm more than a little confused - So I need your help to understand this problem (please). What exactly is the lighting function that is being sought here? As you will know, the two front turn-signal are: - Leuchte 0 BLK VL B36 - Turn Signal front left (headlights)
- Leuchte 1 BLK VR B20 -Turn Signal front right (headlights)
Regardless of whether these are incandescent, or LED, the only active Alpha channel as a factory setting is Lichtfunktion A (which is normally set to the value Blinken links/rechts Hellphase). And, as you say, the Dimmwert value is normally set to 100 (or 127 for LEDs) So - if you need to add an additional function to this lamp (perhaps the Parking light function), then just move the turn-signal function down to another Alpha pair ( Lichtfunktion C, or D) and put the new function into Lichtfunktion A with its own Dimmwert level (any level of illumination that you like). If you do this, then the priority order of the turn-signal function will be correct (i.e. the highest priority) Also, you might also need to end with a Blinken links/rechts Dunkelphase command in the next alpha pair to have the correct initialisation for the two functions (I think) Finally, I caution anyone with incandescent turn-signal lamps to be very careful with the illumination level if they want to add another function to these lights. As I said in a previous thread, the power rating of the lamp base for these lights is rated for a 50% duty cycle (i.e. the lamp-base is rated for a light that switches-off for the same time that it switches-on). Hence the power rating of the lamp base isn't designed for the lamp to be switched-on at full brilliance all the time (i.e. without an "off" period). If care isn't taken with incandescent lamps, it's very likely that the lamp base will overheat. Not a problem for LED, but it is a problem for incandescent lamps. Don Don

Fog lights with Cornering together to put intermittent 1 - Module 09 - Electronic. Code (31347) 2 - Adaptation 3 - static cornering light 4 - Sub - Vorschrift Some cars this is Static AFS Light Vorschrift 5 - Change value to FMVSS 517 108. By default ECE R119

^^^^ cupra: I wouldn't worry about the AFS Light Vorschrift setting, just change Leuchte12NL LB45-Lichtfunktion B 12 and Leuchte13NL RB5-Lichtfunktion B 13 to not active

Can someone help explain the difference between the App function to remember last A/C re-circulation setting and this I found under Long Coding?
'Store recirculation air setting for terminal 15 off'
I paid for credits in the Apps to set remember recirculate setting but it seems to only work for a period of time and then resets to OFF.

kye: Remind me - what country are you from? It makes a difference to how your Parking lights operate. If your car is like the one in Daniel's post above - try his instructions
Don
PS: If Admin is reading these posts - can the Proboard indicate where the forum member is from (and what type of vehicle he/she owns)? Clearly this information would be entered at the forum member's discretion, but space for this data should be made available on the Left Hand side of each post - next to the member's details.
It makes it much easier to answer these questions (and it helps others reading these posts to understand if responses are suitable for their cars)
PPS: If any forum members agree with my request, please indicate your support by saying-so in the REQUESTS part of this Pro-board (i.e. in the HOME tab). Thanks

Hi Don
I am in UK

Kye: OK - UK mk7 R.
So how do you want the footwell switch (i.e. the slider in the MIB) to operate the DRLs when the lamps are doing other stuff (like being a DRL, or being Parking lights, or being Single Sided Parking Lights, or being DRL wink)?
Or will the footwell switch only operate when the car is stationary and the ignition/engine is on?
........and is this legal in the UK?
Don
