Hi, I've got no idea where to ask and I can find barely any information. I've got a 2012 Q5 Hybrid and I had to do some engine repairs to it, as a prerequisite I had to disable the battery power and I ended up doing it using the pull tab in the trunk, I tried some other ways but I didn't find anything that actually worked. Now that I've completed all the repairs, I tried to start the car and it tells me there's an error in the hybrid system, looking at the errors I have this weird one which is P0A0A00, something related to a fault in the interlock system. I've double checked all the connectors, everything is connected just fine and I'm wondering whether me pulling out that tab caused it somehow as I've had people at VW tell me that I shouldn't do that because they'd have to disable the power via OBD; looking at the instructions in ELSA, that does appear to be true, but there is also a recommendation to pull out that tab, so I'm unsure. Looking at the live data, it tells me that the safety mechanisms are engaged and I can see the pack's pre-safety voltage is 280V or so, after it it's 0.5V (most likely just error and is actually open). Is there any way for me to disable the safety mechanisms or troubleshoot the issue, as I currently can't even verify that I've done all the repairs correctly and the combustion engine is functional?

Hi Gmauto, Were you able to figure out the issue with your Q5 Hybrid. Presently having a similar issue; 2013 Q5 hybrid was running great, then after being parked for a few days in very cold weather, it wouldn't start. Had to jumpstart and then had a new OEM 12V battery installed by mechanic. Still won't start. Getting 'Hybrid failure, transmission failure, drive motor A control module errors. Not sure what else to do. Called local audi and they are not familiar with this hybrid model. I did full scan with the OBDeleven tool too and can't seem to reset these errors. Thanks in advance.
