Hi all,
Sorry if this is a dumb question but I’ve noticed my OBDEleven scanner showing ACC as one of the control units, however I don’t actually have any form of CC installed on the car (as far as I’m aware). It’s showing as hardware number 3QF907572. This looks like it’s a distance control radar?
I’m trying to retrofit some things such as a MFSW, car play etc and I’m struggling to find a website which shows me compatibility with my current parts (I have the part numbers etc).
Does anyone know of a website or database that can do this?

hmm......... if an OBD11 SCAN report has identified an actual Part number, then it's almost certain that the module actually exists and that it has been recognized as participating on the CAN network. Look at your SCAN for something like this:
13 Adaptive Cruise Control System description: ACC BOSCH MQB Software number: 5Q0907572P Software version: 0682 Hardware number: 3QF907572A Hardware version: H11

Hi Don, thanks for the answer. That’s what I was thinking, but I don’t have a MFSW with cruise control controls, or the stalk. What’s even weirder is when I took my car for a service, they mentioned ACC working fine. When I asked them about it, the lady said yes if it’s mentioned I do have ACC, but when I confirmed I didn’t have a way to activate it she spoke to a manager and then backtracked and said no, I don’t have it.
I’m away from my car for the next few days but I still have it saved to my OBDEleven garage, unfortunately I can’t seem to copy and paste it but it does show what you said with minor differences.
13 Adaptive Cruise Control System description: ACC BOSCH MQB Serial Number: UNAVAILABLE Protocol: CAN: UDS Software number: 5Q0907572J Software version: 0654 Hardware number: 3QF907572 Hardware version: H10
I’ve actually ordered a MFSW to install and this should be installed by Saturday. It’s a long shot, but so you think the ACC will work with the controls on the steering wheel seeing as my scanner is showing this module as installed?

ACC is also installed when FrontAssist is equipped, but missing all CC functions.
You will need more than just installing a matching button set and coding for either CCS or ACC, as both are swap protected features.

Thanks for the reply! I’m trying to figure out what parts I need to replace, but I’m struggling to find out what my current parts are compatible with. For example, whether my current steering wheel control module is compatible with a MFSW, or whether I need to replace it. Same as the ACC / CC, what would need to be replaced in order for me to get it retrofitted.

Typically, retrofits are planned this way or the other: A) Just try and error B) Research with Etka Online and your vin and a donor vin from a vehicle of the same period with the wanted configuration. You will see differences and - with some efforts - even are able to fetch and analyze the changes in coding.
Regarding swap: CCS is a gateway swap which needs to be enabled from VW. For acc there are ways to circumvent this, yet there are a lot more tools needed than OBD11, as there is a need to redo component protection and flash various firmware.

Hey! Sorry for the really late ping. I’ve been doing a lot of research and trial and error. I’m now at the point of trying to flash the correct firmware onto the radar, I have everything needed for this however it keeps failing due to the losing connection to the Control Module (in this case, my radar). I’ve been trying to pinpoint why this is, I’m now starting to thing this is a hardware issue. Would you be able to advise if this is most likely? I know it’s difficult for you to say, especially without seeing the car, but I’m really struggling now lol

When any control unit frequently loses bus connection for no reason, it is unsafe to flash it. Does the firmware match? When the prechecks fail, most software resets the control unit, as the control unit still is in flash mode and not working
When the connection and firm - also check for corrosion I would suggest a cross check with another ACC.
We see a lot of defective control units being sold on ebay for a quick fix of money

Prechecks work all fine, it’s after uploading the seed and starting the flash when it fails. The radar itself is installed from factory, so no second hand parts off eBay. The radar also works fine as I had a front assist warning pop up yesterday when I got too close to a car on the motorway
