My OBD11 doesn’t save updates to my ID.3 anymore. Any idea of what I can do to get it work again?
I have had OBD11 for around a year and made some updates to it. It has worked fine all times. First in version 2.3, then had to do it on 2.4 as well. The 3.0 update didn’t remove my updates.
Now I have got 3.2 installed and ask updates have been deleted. And when starting doing changes, the first one went well. But the second one failed with error message that it couldn’t write. After that all updates just “hangs”, and need to restart the app.
So, what can be wrong? Any ideas? Should I reinstall the app, delete my profiles in the car, factory reset the car…?
I have an iPhone by the way, if it could be a setting in the phone…

marbas : Yeah - my suggestion is that you delete the current version OBD11 App and reload it again from App-Store. You will need to re-enter your Account ID and password - but ALL of your historic stuff will be saved against your account, which is stored on the servers on the OBD11 mother-ship Don

Thanks Don!
I did reinstall the app but unfortunately the issue persists.
Not sure if it is related but I found an error in central electric unit stating that a “signature could not be created” (U14FF00). Could that be relevant?

Martin: Hi again! hmm......... not sure what "the issue remains" means!! As I understood - "the issue" in your original post related to an inability to run OBD11 software. Clearly since you have been able to identify U14FF00 error - the software is now operating OK. So, I assume that "the [original] issue" is fixed - I hope!!
As for your U14FF00 error - I'm not sure about this on a ID.3. U14FF00 = safe onboard communication, time server not available - this particular Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) indicates a manufacturer-specific fault with the vehicle user network.
However, I am aware of a couple of TSBs (Technical Service Bulletins) from VW related to "Yankee" model ID.4s in which U14FF00 error is defined as an Irrelevant DTC. The TSBs say that the DTC has no effect on any functions or electrical systems of the vehicle. They do not cause any customer concerns. Again, I'm not sure if the TSBs apply to an ID.3 and I don't know the country of sale for this car - but because it's an easy try, I suggest that you simply attempt to clear the DTC.

Sorry i wasn’t clear. I can connect to the dongle, read it values but not write.
Though I got it solved as it turns out it was the firewall in the car that blocked me by security reasons. This is solved by turn on the ignition and open the hood.
So now it works.
Many thanks for helping me out and trying to o figure out what was wrong.
