Did anyone try the SAS (Steering Angle Sensor) calibrate one touch app? Does it work?
I need it to mabye fix my steering wheel not being straight after alignment.

Hmm........... I have NEVER (capital letters for emphasis) used One-Click-Apps (OCAs) for anything including SAS re-calibration and I suggest others do the same!
The reason for my practice is because any time that coding changes are made to modules - it's prudent (or better said, "mandatory") to understand what actual changes are being made to the car in case the modifications go pear-shape and the changes need to be reverted back to their original settings! It happens - not ALL tweaks are successful!
OCAs offer a quick and easy way to make coding changes - but they DO NOT leave a history of these changes. Of course this ain't a problem if everything works - but OCAs don't always work as expected and the "undo" facility also does not always work. If you doubt this - look through the posts in this forum.
So and IMO, every time a OCA is used, you are rolling-the-dice! Sometime you win and sometime you lose!! My advice for what its worth is do the tweak manually so you know exactly which aspects of the module are modified - obviously this approach requires a PRO subscription!
OK rant over!!
In respect of the original question in this thread, the video that I include below describes the steps in re-calibrating the Steering Angle Sensor (SAS) on MQB platform cars - like Golf mk7/mk7.5.
The speaker in the video is the "voice of VCDS". It's spoken by the venerable Jeff from Ross-Tech - I'm not sure if it's the same jeff as registered in this forum - so, of course the video is intended for VCDS users. However, most of the general instructions also apply to OBD11 users because the majority of the steps in the video are determined by the requirements of the module - not by the type of diagnostic device that is used
That said, there are differences between VCDS and OBD11-the GUI screens are different and the terms that I describe below are different: VCDS | OBD11
| 44- Steering Assist Module
| 44 Steering Assistance Module
| Component
| System description:
| MAS number | not used
|
And finally- when a wheel alignment is done on a car that has Electronic Stability Control (ESC) as is the case on MQB platform vehicles - it's good practice to ALWAYS ensure that the SAS calibration procedure is also done (especially if the "Thrust line" on the car is altered)

After following all the steps in the video, the warning lights do not appear after clicking "stop" on my 2017 Golf 7 GTI

kazhrd: Thanks for confirming that the process works on OBD11 - interesting that you didn't need to complete the entire process! Obviously the video was conducted on a "Yankee" vehicle - North America Region (NAR) model Golf. Maybe this is why, or maybe using OBD11 is the important difference)? What country is your car? Don

Don I have not performed the steps with OBD11, I have performed them with VCDS on a European car.
