Hello, I own a Golf 7 Facelift and have activated the One Click App lane-keeping assistant. Although it’s displayed in the menu, I cannot activate it because I immediately receive the error message “This function is not available.” Does anyone have any solutions? The traffic sign recognition was able to be activated without any issues.

pineappleboy : hmm........ OCAs can be problematic because they make lots of assumptions about how the car is coded before they make changes to the car! Often these assumptions are correct - but sometimes they are not!! The other very REAL problem with OCAs is that they don't disclose what actual changes they make to the car's coding. So unwinding the modifications, or diagnosing why stuff doesn't work is very difficult! It's very much a roll of the dice when using OCAs (IMO, of course) - which is why I never use them!! Anyhow, as for your question - please post-up a copy of the SCAN report for this car so we can see how it was built and what errors (if any) have been recorded Don PS: If you don't know how to digitized the SCAN - see below:

pineappleboy : Yes, I can see from your SCAN that the front radar (13 - Adaptive Cruise Control) is not happy about something blocking its view!! Unfortunately with respect to the subject matter of this thread, the ONLY reported fault from the front facing camera module is Data bus missing message (which is rated as "static" - meaning that it's binding). Alas, this is a general error message inferring that there is a problem with the module coding (somewhere?) - so it isn't useful in focusing on the where to look for the fix!
Normally if this car had been manually coded, I would suggest that you look at the change records in History - but in this case the coding modifications have resulted from OCAs. You could try looking in History - but as I have said, the problem with OCAs is that they leave NO change records.
The only folk that understand what changes are made by OCAs are the deities on the OBD11 mother-ship. I suggest that you contact the help desk to pursue this matter!!

deni11 : Assuming that you made manual coding changes and as I have said above - look at the change records in History and revert any modifications that you have made to A5 Driver Assistance module (this is the front facing camera) to "old value"

From my experience, Lane Assist is rather undemanding regarding other control units being correctly coding.
Yet, the steering and the dash need to be coded correctly.
Infotainment is also mandatory from a users perspective, but technically not needed (Backwards compatibility for PQ-Cars)

Thank you for your detailed response. Yes, I contacted OBD11 support, and they thoroughly examined everything. The result was that my car apparently cannot do that, and I have now received a refund of my credits, at least. Thank you for taking the time.
