Have a fellow member who is trying to retrofit a passenger seat sensor.
The car is a Seat Leon but as the coding is the same as the Golf 7 so was just wondering if anybody knows what long coding is needed to enable the passenger seat sensor.
Thanks.

whataboutthis :Hi. This is an odd retrofit - why is this being done? Care should be taken when coding the the airbag module - it can render the vehicle inoperative!! Anyway, if you look in Adaptations in the 15 Airbag module, you should find a channel called Airbag adaptations-Seat occupied recognition. On cars with the sensor fitted (it's called G128 in the wiring diagram), this channel setting is activated. I'm not sure if a security code will be necessary for the changed setting and if so, what the security code is - security codes for the hex15 module are as rare as rocking-horse shit !!!

Yes its an odd retrofit but as with all VAG Models local markets, the guy lives in Turkey and there they did not fit the passenger seat sensor and he would just like to have it.
Fully agree about the airbag control unit I have personally only ever touched it once and that was to clear a fault that i had caused when doing some work on the heater panel.
I will pass on your info and hopefully that will help him.
Much appreciated as always
