Once these are cleared I will review the site again.
Rather than trying to share this with support, who in turn pass it on to various internal depts and nothing changes I am just recording all the stuff I see that is either missing important information for the new user / prospective purchaser or in my view is just incorrect.
OBD11 Site
They have now started a new thread with updates.
Landing Page
It shows Customization with one click apps but no mention that its only for VAG And BMW (See further note below on the OCA Page)
Plans page - All Brands - obdeleven.com/plans?other_brands
Basically they say the basic plan only does OBD2 (Engine and Possibly Gearbox) scan.
But there is no mention that it also supports Live data (although this is disapointing as it only has 5 items)- was done in release 1.4.10, it also does not tell you have the History of Scans, Can Email the Scans, Cars in the Garage etc. And for some strange reason it does not tell you that you can Read and Clear the control unit DTC's
If you go to Compare Plans obdeleven.com/compare?other_brands then you get a much better picture but still with errors.
Live data is shown as not available but It is, it can read and clear error codes (otherwise what is the point of it) but is says you cant, Again not used it but think that Data Sharing is now possible but shown as not, Lastly it has all the VAG Featurs shown but these are never going to be there so why list all this stuff you wont deliver.
Supported Vehicles
There is some confusion over the non vag/bmw/toyota brands are they other brands or all brands...... I personally think All Brands is wrong because that would include VW/BMW Etc
if you select your vehicle then you get to see (or should see) all the one click apps available for your motor, an example of this not working
you will see that the first OCA is Pulsation of start button, but carry on down the list and they all start to duplicate so not a good place to work out what OCA are availiable, use the app itself and fix the web lookup. Secondly in the case of the Pulsation my car does not have this feature and when you look at the app it tells you that you need to have Kessy fitted but not on the web site. New Users can be confused that they see stuff that they can't have on there cars.
Products Page
Next Gen Device
Please update all your product offerings to show the correct minimum version of Android, Legal And Support are both showing it as 8 web pages as 6 I have been advised by support this is because a future release (no date) will upgrade the minimum version just a shame this cant all be done at the same time.
obdeleven.com/products/nextgen-obdeleven-device?carBrand=other_brands (updated to new page as special offer now finished)
The following comment Customize your car the way you want and access hidden features with the help of various One-Click Apps. You can purchase your favorite Apps with Credits, our in-app currency. should in my view be updated to show Only on VAG and BMW and Obviously updated when you do Toyota as well. Although it does in the text above say customizations for Volkswagen Group (VAG) and selected BMW Group vehicles, I still think (based on what I have seen on various Forums and Facebook) this will be missed and users will think they can make changes to other brands cars.
Shows Under Diagnostics that it scans all control units - No it only scans Engine and Possible the Gearbox for the other_brands
It shows One Click apps but the Other brands only support OBD2 Diagnostics there are no one click apps
Live Data it shows only VAG, Well that's wrong its on the other brands as well
Again this shows you have advanced diagnostics for E Series but not One Click apps which i can see under supported vehicles
Small point but there is no mention here of the country limitations applied to the BMW group so I could end up buying it and find out its not supported in my country.
Monthly cost in Euro but actual cost in GBP as per user settings.
in the main body it states The PRO VAG Plan will be redeemed by connecting the application with a device. but under code activation it states
To redeem your plan follow these steps:
Go to your inbox after completing purchase.
You will find an email with your Plan code and a link to the user dashboard.
To redeem your plan follow these steps:
Go to your inbox after completing purchase.
You will find an email with your Plan code and a link to the user dashboard.
Not very clear if its automatic on first login or i have to activate it manually.
It states NextGen OBDeleven device also supports BMW, MINI and Rolls-Royce without ULTIMATE Plan. but there is no mention of Toyota/Lexus or the fact it does the OBD2 Basic stuff.
Features
obdeleven.com/features, it states OBDeleven app – Advanced Diagnostics and One-Click Apps for select BMW group vehicles, and Basic OBD2 Diagnostics for all brands supporting the CAN-bus protocol, such as Ford, Mercedes, Toyota, etc. well that's out of date as you now support Toyota group with Advanced Diagnostics.
obdeleven.com/features?Audi, it states Program control units yourself which I agree you can BUT only if you have Pro or Ultimate license and I do think this should be stated
Comparison Page
obdeleven.com/compare?Seat for example, this shows as an example that you have Charts, Gauges and EEPROM but this is only true on Android, if you have IOS Then its not true as these features are not there. Now on other parts of the site you show Android and IOS with differences on different tabs and there is mention that IOS offers less and you will keep this under constant review..... (I will say no more) but somebody will just look at this page and think they get all these features and when they get the app they find out they dont.
obdeleven.com/compare?compareTab=products&BMW so this is for BMW Group motors, it states under credits Credits are not needed for ULTIMATE plan users. but that is not true for BMW Group cars you do need credits even if you have a VAG ULTIMATE Plan, I have seen a few people who thought because they had Ultimate they did not have to pay for credits on there non vag motors..
This should be showing that other_brands basic plan has Read and Clear Fault Codes, Battery Status, Live Data,
ONE CLICK APPS
Under which ones are available it states One-Click Apps are available for all Volkswagen Group (VAG) and BMW F, G, I-series, MINI (F-series), and select Rolls-Royce models. There is no mention that you also support E Series cars, I don't have one but if i look under supported vehicles with E Series there are one click apps.
obdeleven.com/one-click-apps under what are credits and do i need them it says Most One-Click Apps cost 10 Credits, while others can cost up to 200 Credits. but under obdeleven.com/compare?Volkswagen&compareTab=products it states Credits are used to activate One-Click apps values. Change requires 10-100 credits. Credits are not needed for ULTIMATE plan users. Again if you have a ultimate plan on VAG you don't need credits but you do on BMW and Toyota when you roll those OCA out.
You show this item of the types of one click apps that are supported under these three types (which is true on the VAG App)
but if you go to the Google Site for the BMW Apps it shows the following screen so as you can see you have many different category's unlike the VAG one.
Warranty
Your website shows the following narrative in various places The warranty does not apply when you have purchased the product from an unauthorized reseller which I fully understand, now VCDS Actually produce a list of Authorised resellers but Voltas do not so how is a new user supposed to know if the product has a warranty or not, And they cant always use your website because you dont ship to all countries.
It states To obtain warranty service, contact us via our help platform (the link takes you just to the help file no idea where to go after that (remember I am a new user)) and we will provide instructions on submitting your claim. but then at the bottom of the page there is a button to create a Return
Terms and Conditions
From Software and Hardware
Section 29 shows. VAT (or an equivalent) outside the EU, customs, and other related costs are paid by purchaser according to the legislation requirements of the purchaser’s country and those costs are not included in the final price of the product.
Now in the old days when a UK Resident purchased the item the V.A.T of the sated price was removed as it was exported out of the EU, But these days you do charge VAT on the price and because you have a UK V.A.T Registered company for these sales the final price does include the VAT not as show on your web site.
Lastly in this section I note that the company name used to be VOLTAS IT in all these sections but now its changed to OBDeleven, UAB but the app on Google, Apple etc are all in the name of VOLTAS IT.
Links to Google
play.google.com/store/apps/developer?id=Voltas+IT is a great link as it shows you both of your apps, however the video you have above the OBDEleven Car Diagnostics (eg non vag) you have is about the BMW App (which you have now renamed and updated) so perhaps a new video to again make it easier for new users.
WIKI/HELPFILE/SUPPORT PAGES
Firstly I would like to say that the BMW Section is very very light not a lot of detail or screen shots, Whilst there will be a lot of duplication as a BMW Owner I would go straight to the BMW Section to find out for example What Minimum Android/IOS do I need (please remember I raise these issues for new users/potential buyers) you can put in a title and just link to the pre existing answer under general questions so no extra work involved.
Another area that users would find helpful is how to share scans, how to get more info about the fault codes being reported and the reason I ask for this stuff when I see the issues on forums/facebook I just have to link them to the answer.
Further I would again point out the screen shots on the VAG Pages are out of date and not updated when new features are added (quickly anyway)
GOOGLE PLAY STORE
Currently showing minimum Android Version as 6 but your help files have been updated to show 8
