Hello guys,
Is it possible to add an option to always start driving car automatically if it is stopped by Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)? Or increase the waiting interval? It’s working now only if the stop is a short one (10-20 seconds) then you need to press resume button on steering wheel or accelerator pedal to start driving. It would be nice if car start driving automatically on ACC after any time of stopping in traffic jam without any actions from a driver.

Hello,
Thank you for the request. Unfortunately, your vehicle must be equipped with a Traffic Jam Assistant.

BMW OCA developer What do you mean in "Traffic Jam Assistant" ? I have Lane Keeping feature + Adaptive Cruise Control (2 buttons on the steering wheel). If I press both buttons it will drive almoost autonomously (stop/start/steering/change line) - I just need to keep my hands on the steering wheel and sometimes click buttons. Based on the video from BMW - It has name - Traffic Jam Assistant. Is it right? My car provides semi-automated driving just requires some driver interaction after long stop, and I would like to disable this interaction or increase the interval of self-starting. One guy (BMW Coder) proposed me a feature to disable BMW prompt to put hands on the steering wheel, so seems it's possible to change the behavior of the feature.

Usually, the vehicle starts driving forward automatically when the stop is up to 3 seconds. If your vehicle is equipped with a Traffic Jam Assistant, this time is increased up to 30 seconds. So, there are no possible solutions (as far as we know) at this moment to increase the waiting interval. Probably it is because of some safety reasons.
