Hi,
So I saw this done to an 8V A3 in Italy and I’d like to do the same.
Is it possible to make my white DRLs also blink amber for the turn signal? Does it require somehow adding an amber LED diode? Is this something that can be done via OBDEleven?
Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

shahwant96 : Hi. hmm..........please answer ALL these questions: - what country is this?
- Is the lighting effect that you want road legal in your country?
- Do you want the DRLs to blink in unison with the turn-signal, or do you want the DRLs to counter-blink (i.e. "Pace-car" ?
As for your question - I don't believe that it's possible to add an "amber LED". I suspect that the lighting effect can be done by coding - but it depends on how the Leuchte-sets in the central electrics module for the DRLs are coded
If you want to proceed - post-up the current settings for Leuchte2SL VLB10 and Leuchte4TFL LB4. To be clear, I need to see the values of ALL 19 x adaptation channels for each Leuchte-set in your screenshots

Hi Don, Thanks for your response. answers to your questions: 1) So, I’d be doing this to my car in Israel/Palestine. 2) Yes, as long as there’s an indicator on the front, back, and sides of the car it doesn’t really matter in what form it is in (whether it is in the way it came from the factory or not) 3) I’d want the DRLs to blink amber INSTEAD of the blinker bulb. Basically, I want to mimic the look of a facelift 8V where the white LED DRL also blinks amber for the turn signal. I don’t just want the white LED DRL to blink, I want it to be amber AND for it to blink. This is what I had seen on this dude’s car in Italy, so it caught my eye, and thought I could try and figure out how to do the same. Attached are the screenshots of my leuchte-sets. hope this works out, would be super cool. Thanks!        |

OK, now I better understand the question in your first post - thank you! Alas, your reply to my Question 3 (which I've copied above) is binding to your wants
I suspect that the "dude's car in Italy" was a post-2017 version of the Audi A3 8V, or it was optioned differenyly to your car. The DRLs in the pre-2017 build version of your car use a pair of white LEDs that project into a light-tube that forms the "V" shape eyebrow for the headlight fittings. This is in contrast to the Italian car that has bi-colored amber/white LEDs for both the DRL and front turn-signal functions.
In addition, the Italian A3/8V also has extra electronic circuitry to control which color to illuminate when the LEDs are activated AND the wiring loom for the front turn signals are routed onto the additional control circuits (instead of terminating onto the separate turn-signal lights on your car)!
This means that this project (if pursued) is NOT a coding exercise - it involves a bunch of changes to physical equipment (including opening the headlight lens covers)
So- the matters above raise the more critical question of how much effort you are prepared to put-into this project and more importantly - how much money you are prepared to throw at your wants? Of course, we have not discussed the other unanswered question of whether Audi actually sells the components needed for this project as stand-alone parts (I suspect not)?
My apology for being the harbinger of bad news - but perhaps solving the problem of world poverty might be a more achievable objective than pursuing your wants (no offense intended)!!

Which turn signals do you want to counter blink? What type of lamps are in these counter blinking turn-signals? What country is this? Are these counter blinking lamps original to this car? Don
