Hi,
I have encountered a fault code problem. A 2017 Golf Alltrack 2.0 TDI was in for inspection at a authorized service center. Service center reported that the car has fault code 10382 P125700 Coolant/Thermostat/Valve. Open circuit. The service center can't do anything about it until about three weeks. So I decided to have a look at it. But when I scan the car with OBDeleven I get P199E00 Cylinder head coolant valve. Open circuit. Anyone who knows why the scans return different codes? The car had it's water pump replaced about 2 months ago.
It would be great if some one can give leads on where on the engine to look for valves. Without yet really dug into it I guess I'm looking for a broken wire or solenoid as it says "open circuit" on both codes.
/ Confused

I have NO idea why the "service center" fault code is different to the code reported by OBD11 - my only suggestion is that the P125700 error might have been cleared by the "service center" when you picked-up the car and the error did NOT re-appear in the a subsequent ignition cycle before you used OBD11 - maybe (I'm guessing, of course)?
There ain't nothing special with the dealer tool when pulling error-codes from the modules in these cars! Both OBD11 and the dealer tool simply read whatever error codes are stored in the modules!!
Anyhow, with regard to the OBD11 error code P199E00 - the Cylinder head coolant valve is called N489 in the wiring diagram and you are correct - it's a 2 x wire device that is directly controlled by the 01 Engine module.
Access to N489 depends on the version diesel engine installed on this car - for example, on a 2.0L CRUA engine, the upper part of toothed belt guard must first be removed.

Thank you dv52 (Australia) spot on! Connector for N489 Cylinder head coolant valve was not properly seated. Probably been loose since water pump replacement. As this car has a CUNA engine it was easy to find the connector, only had to remove engine top cover.

So I desired to realize if I should get the brand new component number for the pump because I spoke to VW and that they told me there's a exclusive part range for the pump now. 192.168.100.1 192.168.1.1
