Hello, I have a 2015 Golf TDI and I recently installed a P3 vent gauge so I could see the EGT reading. I want to change the sensor it is getting the reading from to sensor 1. I’m hoping someone here can help me with this. Thank you

iconoclast4130: Hi. EGTs on MQB platform cars are simple 2 x pin devices that hang-off the ECU. I'm really not sure that I understand what you want to do - and more importantly why you want to it? And I'm not certain how you anticipate any informed replies when you don't disclose which particular engine is in this car (and which country) When you say "I want to change the sensor" - do you mean that you want to exchange like-for-like, or are you saying that you want to replace the existing sensor for an entirely different non-OEM sensor? If the latter, why? I've not done this - but I would think that stuff gets more complex because of the need to calibrate the temperature response of the non-OEM EGT to be the same as the response for the remaining 3 x EGTs?
