dv52 (Australia)I hope you are well? I was wondering could you help with this query? In the past you were able to assist with the DRL dimming percentage when the headlights were powered on with my mk7 Golf R. I now have a mk7.5 Golf R and the the below parameters do not work. I don't want the DRLs dimming when the headlights are on. Previous settings on mk7 R ‐----------- DRLs brightness: 1. Control Unit 9 - Central Electronics 2. Security code - 31347 3. Adaptation 4. Leuchte2SL VLB10 5. Dimming/Dimmwert CD 2 - (default 35) 6. Press the green tick to confirm 7. Leuchte3SL VRB21 8. Dimming/Dimmwert CD 3 - (default 35) 9. Select the green tick to confirm. Leuchte4TFL LB4 and Leuchte5 TFL RB32 for cars with incandescent headlights- The brightness of the DRL (0) function is controlled by the Dimmwert AB (default=100) and the brightness of the Parking Light function (i.e. operation with low-beams) is controlled by Dimmwert EF (default=31) OK - with the caveat above, try adding the set of channels below on the 2 x Leuchte-sets: Leuchte2SL VLB10 (left-side DRL) Leuchte3SL VRB21 (right-side DRL) Lichtfunktion E > Standlicht allgemein (Schlusslicht; Positionslicht; Begrenzungslicht) Lichtfunktion F > not active Dimmwert EF > 40 Dimming Direction EF > maximum _______________________________ Can you please assist with these parameters on my 7.5R? Thanks Chris

Chris: Hi again!
OK- post-up screenshots of Leuchte4TFL LB4 and Leuchte2SL VLB10. To be clear, I need to see ALL 19 x adaptation channels for each Leuchte-set in your picture

Chris: thanks for the screenshots.
Notice that both the Leuchte-sets that you included in your last post are factory disabled ( i.e. lasttyp = not active).
This means that this particular Golf mk7.5 has been built with headlight fittings that do NOT use the central electrics module to control the headlight lamps! Instead, I suspect that this car uses factory installed Light Control Modules (LCMs) to operate the lamps in the headlights. Alas, OBD11 can not access the coding in LCMs - so it ain't possible to change the factory settings in these modules!
This prohibition is NOT especially an OBD11 thing - other diagnostic devices like VCDS and VCP have the same restrictions regarding LCMs.

Hey Don Thanks for having a look So, another feature disabled on the 7.5! This was the same with the exhaust flaps as well - we cant disable those either for some reason via long coding. There are LCM menus on OBDEleven. This is unfortunate ☹️ Thanks again Chris
