Hello everyone, After installing a new BCM (Body Control Module) in my Golf 7, I started seeing a "Headlamp washer system activation" error in OBDeleven. The fault code is B126215, with a message indicating "Open circuit/short circuit to B+." My car does not have a headlamp washer system, but it seems that this feature was left enabled in the module coding. I’d appreciate any help on how to disable this coding or clear this error. If anyone has experience with this issue, please share your suggestions. Thanks!

onuragca : Hi. I assume that the replacement BCM has been source from a donor car that was factory equipped with a headlight washer system and when the module coding was re-aligned to that in the original module, the facility was left active.
The problem that I have in providing an informed fix for this situation is that you have provided no information about the specifics of the BCM that was retrofitted to this car. It matters because all Golf mk7 do NOT have the same BCM across the many years of its production and across the many world markets in which these cars were sold.
When you sourced the replacement module for this car - you would have ensured that the part/software numbers were the identical to the old module. The same requirement is needed to properly describe the headlight washer problem so that the correct solution can be identified!
So, because the BCM has not been identified - there are 2 x possible fixes for this problem: - If this BCM is the older type that was installed in Golf mk7's that were built before about mid-2016, set Byte 13, Bit 3 =0
- If the BCM is the newer type that does NOT have an active long-code string change the following adaptation channel
- Scheinwerferreinigung-Headlamp washer system > not installed

Hi Don,
My car has the newer type BCM module (5Q0 937 084 EC), so there’s no long coding option. All settings are configured through the Adaptation section. I’ll try setting the relevant adaptation channel for the headlamp washer to “not installed.” Thank you for your help!

I changed the adaptation setting to 'Scheinwerferreinigung-Headlamp washer system > not installed' in the Adaptation section, and the problem was solved. Thanks!
