Have a look at this. Haven't tried it myself but worth a look Nice It is my channel so if you have question feel free. If regeneration won't start at first time try to run the second or third time.

What is the sequence to start a forced regen? Every time I try I get a message saying it exited due to safety reasons.
I've done all the obvious things like putting the parking break on etc.

Maybe after enter code press for a while clutch+brake, release and then press for a while acceleration pedal.

Maybe after enter code press for a while clutch+brake, release and then press for a while acceleration pedal. Sometimes it says it has to exit for safety reasons but other times it just hangs on not active. If I then press the brake or accelerator, it goes to the exited for safety reasons. I just can't work out what I've done to actually not quit straight away or what I need to do to start it off if it doesn't fail immediately.

Managed to figure it out and it's now running. For the benefit of others:
1) Clear faults for engine 2) Change to EOL service mode 3) Login with code 27971 4) Basic Settings > Service DPF Regeneration (cant remember the exact wording) 5) Long press the green button (it will say it exited due to safety) 6) Turn off engine (ignition still on) 7) Turn on engine 8) Do steps 3 to 5 again 9) This time it will say "Not Active" 10) Press brake for a few seconds 11) Then let go of brake and press accelerator until status shows Active 12) Engine should be revving (my A6 is spinning away at 2k revs) 14) Go grab a coffee or beer

It's just ended after about 15 mins... should have taken longer so not entirely sure what happened there.
/Edit: It had finished. I cleared the faults again and engine/glow lights are gone. Out of limp mode etc as well. Happy days.
Car still needs to go into Audi because I screwed up the air suspension control unit a few weeks ago lol.

App crashes when I try to enter security code. I can't even type one number and it crashes. I'm using latest version of the app. Is security code no longer necessary?
I see glowplug flashing and nothing else occurs.

Aq5user....Same problem as you. Security Access completely crashes the app. Any luck resolving this ?.
How do I enter into EOL Service Mode ?.
Thanks

Go to control unit and select Diagnostic session. You can then select End of assembly line mode (EOL)
On my car i never go to security access, I do the coding and then if required the security key input will come up when you try and save it.

Where do I find the channel descriptions? I an asked to input channel number and get no descriptions. Useless without that information.

Hi all. New to the forum and hopeful you guys can help me with clearing my DPF. I've followed the instructions, below, but can't get the regen to start. A couple of (probably dopey) questions: I do sometimes get the "exited due to safety..." issues. The instructions say to turn off the engine but leave the ignition on. How can I do that? Mine is the keyfob that you stick in a slot. I can't stop and restart the engine without fully removing the keyfob and sticking it in again. My car is a Passat with a DSG (Auto) box. The instructions say to make sure the car is in "neutral". For an auto, should this be "park"? (I've tried both, BTW) On a number of occasions I've got ODB Eleven ready to go with "not active" status (step 9, below). But I cannot get it to go to "active" by doing the brake-pedal then accelerator sequence (steps 10 and 11). Nothing happens. Have I missed something obvious? Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers Managed to figure it out and it's now running. All, My Jetta TDI has the engine light and coil light on. Odbeleven goes right into a Regen attempt with no problem, but hangs on status ON. After about 30 seconds, it quits and says cancel 33.
Everybody mentions to clear faults as a first step, but how do you do that without getting the fault to come back? When I hit clear faults, it immediately shows the same fault. Even in EOL mode.
Any help is appreciated.

Yes have the same issue. T6 transporter in limp mode with glow plug and EML on. I think you need to trick the DPF into thinking there is less soot/ash than there is. You can then clear the fault code and start the regen. Anyone know how in obdeleven?

Just wanted to say THANK YOU. It worked. My steps: WITH ENGINE RUNNING AT IDLE, CAR IN PARK, PARKING BRAKE ENGAGED. (Coolant at 90deg, oil at 90deg) 1) Clear faults for engine (no faults in my case) 2) Change to EOL service mode 3) Login with code 27971 4) Basic Settings > Service DPF Regeneration (cant remember the exact wording) 5) Long press the green button (nothing happens) 6) Press brake for maybe 5 seconds (nothing happens still) 7) Then let go of brake and press accelerator for maybe another 5 seconds (again apparently nothing happens) 8) As soon as you release accelerator status shows Active and engine revs on its own. 9) Engine revs at 2000 rpm for 30 min then continues for 5 min at about 1100 rpm 10) All done, long press stop. Turn off engine and restart. Managed to figure it out and it's now running. For the benefit of others: 1) Clear faults for engine 2) Change to EOL service mode 3) Login with code 27971 4) Basic Settings > Service DPF Regeneration (cant remember the exact wording) 5) Long press the green button (it will say it exited due to safety) 6) Turn off engine (ignition still on) 7) Turn on engine 8) Do steps 3 to 5 again 9) This time it will say "Not Active" 10) Press brake for a few seconds 11) Then let go of brake and press accelerator until status shows Active 12) Engine should be revving (my A6 is spinning away at 2k revs) 14) Go grab a coffee or beer

For 3.0 TDI 180kW CDUC following steps work: 1. Login with code 27971 2. Basic Settings > Service DPF Regeneration (yellow glow plug icon starts blinking ) 3. Press both brake and clutch (all the way), wait a second 4. Release both brake and clutch 5. Press gas pedal all the way (it will run slightly above 2k rpm and then not go further) 6. Release gas pedal 7. Yellow glow plug icon continues blinking and rpm will slowly grow automatically to 2000 rpm

If you clear the fault codes, the service regeneration procedure will not start, because those faults are one of the conditions for the procedure to start. That's why you need to restart the engine. Codes will reappear and now the procedure can be ativated.

Can't get this to work. VW Transporter T6.
Calculated soot level 59.99 (which seems so close to the magic 60 it's strange!)
But this should allow regen - followed settings carefully but slightly different (newer firmware?) - system says active after sliding green button, press clutch and brake, release clutch, release brake, press accelerator, nothung happens 9no rev rise at all) leave foot on throttle for ~5 secs, remove, nothing happens, then says 'exited due to safety reasons' after about 30s.
Is there a new process?
Are there values I can edit to make the car think the def is lower and allow it to regenerate?
thanks.....

Hey guys, I first want to thank each and everyone of you for doing this right up on this car it saved me probably a few thousand dollars at AudiI
2014 audi q7 tdi
No long press on newest app just slide the green bar.
Had to go thru procedure EXACTLY as it describes.
Unfortunately everytime mine started I had to hold brake 5 seconds, then hold gas pedal it would active BUT
As soon as I’d release EITHER PEDAL procedure would fail.
So two handy dandy long pry bars against the seat to hold pedals down. 30 minutes later she is cured.
Hope this tip helps anyone else struggling with it!

Hello everyone. I’ve just created an account to say that this worked for me. My car is an Audi A4 B9 2.0 TDI with automatic transmision. A few days ago I encountered the failure “Drive system, fault. Please contact workshop” (“Propulsión: ¡Anomalía! Acudir al taller” in Spanish) together with the auto start-stop inoperative. After conecting the OBDeleven the following error dropped: Particulate Filter Regeneration Duration Bank 1 (Fault code P245800). I knew it was something related with DPF, and after checking the soot levels (Particle filter, soot mass measured: 8.52g; Particle filter, soot mass calculated 25.55g) I started to search for a how-to regarding the forced regeneration. The indications given on this thread didn’t work to me on the first attempt. To make it work, I followed the steps but once in the Basic Settings section, first I clicked on “Service regeneration of particulate filter *while driving*” and activated it, and then on the “Service regeneration of particle filter” as explained here. That’s how it worked for me. Also, as the previous post says, I had to keep both pedals pressed during the whole process. After 30 min with 1500rpm or so, the engine stopped the regen but still keeping around 1500rpm (with a different sound). 5 min later the revs dropped to idle and the process was finished. One last scan with the OBD to remove the failure and that’s it! Hope I can help somebody with this, in the same way that you guys helped me
