To my understanding, the NA Golf GTI SE (2018) has a front facing camera. I thought I read somewhere that you can enable Lane Assist and automatic high beams without having the Autobahn package. Is that correct? When going into the apps available in odbeleven it shows that to get automatic high beams enabled you need the lane assist feature already installed.
Any way to do this? Thanks!

I was under the impression that the SE has a frontal camera, is that correct? I know there is a little space under the rear view mirror that looks like a camera.

Shoot, nevermind, just looked at a picture comparing the two and I think the notch I was looking at was the rain sensor. Oh well, thanks!

GTI SE? Its either a GTI or a SE isn’t it? SE doesn’t have the camera unless you spec’d something that needs it (lane assist, sign recognition, that kinda thing)

I got DLA built in, so the two codings I'm interested in would be lane keep and sign recognition. Also is it possible to remove the "security" time interval off lane keep assist in that car? |

SE doesn’t have the camera unless you spec’d something that needs it (lane assist, sign recognition, that kinda thing) Here in the states, the GTI trim levels are S, SE and Autobahn. I believe out Autobahn is comparable to your Highline (I think-it's the top trim level) as far as features like AAC, AID, etc. The SE (which I have) only has the rain sensor and the emblem radar, not the camera. |

Thanks so much for your answer! I've got a "regular" Golf with ACC, DLA and a bunch of stuff people only order on R's out here. With these two options I've got the multi-function camera installed as well as the radar (and most stuff OBDeleven can unlock).
I love my ACC and now I'd also like to try LKA in my daily driving to see if I like it. I had a carlyapp adapter (not capable for these things), so I wondered if the OBDeleven one can "unlock" it for me, as the app doesn't show that option if I select my model. I've seen a couple of videos where it was listed in the options, so I ordered one (takes quite a while to get to me...) to try it myself.
EDIT: Well the App doesn't support the "easy" coding through credits (even though GTI and R seem to get the option). After trying three different long-coding versions to unlock LA I'm now up and running (ascoding.ch worked for the 7.5). While at it I've also edited some different functions (that sometimes got in my way) through long coding, so I now got all options I wanted to unlock without using a single credit. Very happy!
