Hi guys, I have modified the rear indicators to be ON when I open the trunk
But when I turn on the rear indicators with the trunk opened it doen't blink because are already on, is there any different "Blinker...." command that could be used to see the rear indicators blinks also with trunk open?

Photo? Just turn on the lights of your car and open the trunk With the mods is not necessary to turn on the lights, when trunk is open the external back lights + plate goes on, just this

Worked on my 2019 GLI! Thanks! Didn’t do the blink mod, just constant on.

Hi Cioce,
Do the turn indicators also blink if you do it like this? I want my hazards to come on when i open the trunk but with no succes. Do you know how to do this?

ravin : I know that your question is directed to cioce , but I don't believe that it's possible to add the hazard function when the trunk is open. However, ONLY IF THE REAR TURN-SIGNAL LAMPS ARE LED - it is possible to modify cioce tweak to make the outer turn-signal lamps in the rear tails operate as both blinkers and steady-state illumination when the trunk is open. The tweak goes like this:
Leuchte18BLK HLA60 (left-side outer turn-signal) Lichtfunktion A 18 > Heckdeckel offen Lichtfunktion B 18 > not active Dimmwert AB 18 > 127 Lichtansteuerung HD AB 18 > Always Lichtfunktion C 18 > Blinken links Dunkelphase Lichtfunktion D 18 > not active Dimmwert CD 18 > 0 Dimming Direction CD 18 > minimize Lichtfunktion E 18 > Blinken links Hellphase Lichtfunktion F 18 > not active Dimmwert EF 18 > 127 Dimming Direction EF 18 > maximize Lichtfunktion G 18 > not active Lichtfunktion H 18 > not active Dimmwert GH 18 > 0 Dimming Direction GH 18 maximize Leuchte19BLK HRC31 (right-side outer turn-signal) Lichtfunktion A 19 > Heckdeckel offen Lichtfunktion B 19 > not active Dimmwert AB 19 > 127 Lichtansteuerung HD AB 19 > Always Lichtfunktion C 19 > Blinken rechts Dunkelphase Lichtfunktion D 19 > not active Dimmwert CD 19 > 0 Dimming Direction CD 19 > minimize Lichtfunktion E 19 > Blinken rechts Hellphase Lichtfunktion F 19 > not active Dimmwert EF 19 > 127 Dimming Direction EF 19 > maximize Lichtfunktion G 19 > not active Lichtfunktion H 19 > not active Dimmwert GH 19 > 0 Dimming Direction GH 19 > maximize
Again, for emphasis - this tweak IS NOT suitable for incandescent tail light fittings because I'm not sure if the lamp base on the blinker lights is rated for constant illumination

Hi Don,
Thank you for your reply all help is appreciated.
I am going to try out the setup you gace me and let you know if it works. Luckily i have a led setup.
I do have another question. Does it matter in which order you setup the light configuration between A to H? Like if A and H have conflicting settings does the priority go to A or something like that?

Hi Don,
It is still not blinking for me with the previous mentioned setup when I open the trunk. It just stays on without blinking.

ravin : OK that's odd because I just inputted my tweak into my test-bench (my "virtual" mk7-see below) and it works!! Post-up screenshots of one of the Leuchte-sets (I need to see ALL 19 x adaptation channels)

Hi Don Do you mean all of 19 like below or all of 1 to 19. So also DRL, City light, low beam setting etc?? Here below i already posted 18 and 19 for the rear blinkers.

ravin - apology for the late reply but I just got my test bench back from an eager training session of local would-be Leuchte-programmers I set-up exactly your values into Leuchte18BLK HLA60 (as per your screenshots) on my test-bench and it worked magnificently! Got full illumination (steady-state) when my simulated hatch button was open - then with the hatch remaining open, got full left-side turn-signal operation. The test-bench doesn't have a switch for the bonnet-open (Motorraumlicht Leuchte-command)- but I can't imagine that it would change anything

Hi Don Thank you for your efforts. It is strange it doesnt act the same even though we have have the same leuchte settings. Could you check if it could be because of different settings somewhere else between you and me? Like on the below maybe?

ravin : OK - that's different!!
You posted on the mk7 FL part of the forum - so I assumed that your car had the newer style BCM (hex09 module).
However, since you included a screen shot of channels with the parent-name Turn Signal Control - you must have an older style BCM - very possibly with an active long-code string.
I installed a newer style BCM on my test-bench (these modules have no long-code facility) so it doesn't have channels with the parent-name "Turn Signal Control". Instead, the newer modules have the parent-name "Außenlicht_Blinker", but many of the channels in this group are different and some of your channels are missing
I guess this could explain the difference in lamp behavior - but I'm surprised because Leuchte-programming principles are the same for both modules
Maybe the problem with your (older) module is that it doesn't like the Lasttyp value - maybe? I note that your set-up retained the factory value 38 -LED Blinkleuchten which was used because the lamp only operated as a turn-signal originally. However, with the new functionality - the lamp now does more.
Maybe try one of the other LED values in Lasttyp channels -perhaps 6-LED Lichtmodul, or 40-allgemeine LED

Hi Don,
I did not understand completely what you said before but did understand what you wanted me to try out. I did but no succes.
Ik think im ready to give up. If it doesnt blink but just on im ok with that too.
Thank you though for your effort and ideas.

I began reading this because I thought having the hazard lights on with the boot lid might look good, but it appears it just won’t work. However when I’ve been reading through it seems that ravin is getting confused: dv52 (Australia) has put up coding that will light up the indicators constantly when the boot lid opens - no flashing lights. ravin has tried this and said that his indicator lights come on constantly with the bootlid so thinks DV’s coding doesn’t work. It seems to me dv52 (Australia) that from what ravin has written that the coding you’ve given does work as you suggest but that ravin is expecting that coding to give flashing indicators with the bootlid open so he says it doesn’t work. So it is working, but Ravin hasn’t understood what you’ve said the coding will do! ravin : I know that your question is directed to cioce , but I don't believe that it's possible to add the hazard function when the trunk is open. I can confirm this works on my 7.5 Golf. When opening the boot with the blinkers/hazards off, the blinkers constantly illuminate. If either blinker or the hazards are activated while the boot lid is still open, the chosen blinker or the hazards flash. Thanks Don and all! PJ

Hi All, I am new to the forum, although I have managed to enable a lot of things on my skoda Kushaq 2022. Wanted to know can we make all the indicator blink in case any door/ boot is open
have managed to enable tail lights on boot open as per steps mentioned above but not sure how to do for all the 4 doors

abhishek943: No - you can't make the front turn-signal lamps "blink" when the doors/boot open - but you can make them switch-on (in a steady state). You have already done this with the boot if you have used my instructions above. The same is possible for doors open (I think). As I have cautioned in my previous post above, turning-on any turn-signal (front, or rear) should ONLY be done if the lamps are LED - else there is a high risk of meting the lamp holders Don

Is it possible to code reverse light, white lights to be lit when boot is open?

skodasupreme : I 'm not familiar with Skoda cars - but aren't the reverse lights on these vehicles installed on the "inner" tail-light fittings?
If so, if you "code reverse light, white lights to be lit when boot is open" - wont the lamps light-up the sky when the boot is open?

nah m8, on my superb, outer light is light, blinker and reverse so i would like to turn on reverse lights for bettter view. I burned down my blinkers with mod that turns on blinkers with trunk on. I have printed your book about light signatures on golf 7, but my daughter ofc destroyed it now i will try to find what leuchte is back lights, and try to copy codes as same for taillights will post results. thy and Don thanks for answer, was hoping you see this and give me some guidance

edit:
Managed to do it, but lost coding history. made it with car obd scanner, small little app and another obd dongle. Good thing aboout that app it has some translations for some channels so its lot easier to code something. I think reverse lights are 28 and 29leuchte. Just add on function c, when trunk is open, dont know whats on german lang.
And thats it. Next i will try to code blinkers to blink when in reverse, but just rear blinkers.
