Is anyone with an EU Market Golf MK7.5 and Traffic Jam Assist able to share their coding, and make some tips on how to enable it on a US/Canada market car? Theoretically all the hardware is there so it should just be a matter of coding.

It was deemed to be VCP. As in not simple coding from obdeleven or vcds, but going in and recoding the firmware, there’s a guy on the vcp forum (you have to have vcp to go on to it) that will do it via team viewer or the likes, but he charges
I gave out my backups a few times to help people looking into it as I have TJA, but nobody seemed to make it work

Exactly. For TJA there is no coding change, only the parameters for the camera are to be Changed. They are a Level too Low for OBD11 inside the Software.
You can only do this with vcp or odis.
Furthermore you will need an ACC with Stop and Go enabled (so your ACC does Stop behind traffic, not calling you to brake manually).
Regarding parameters: Not every car / Software combination is avaliable in vcp.
The Guy advertising is from Australia (vwwatercooled). In the vcp Forum, there is Nobody selling this. Its Open for vcp owners only and the process has been Well documentated there by Other people - not that australian guy...

I thought the Aussie just got the stuff from Sweden (or wherever) and they did it over team viewer, he then charged and paypaled the money back to the other guy, that’s how it started

Well, we had one from the Netherlands involved - most were Germans there.
The process behind the key finding was interestingly funny.
But still: He is doing service for people and is charging for this, which is OK in general. I do not like the way he is advertising this, emphasizing the TJA is some special finding, needing special tools (VCP is as special as VCDS, which isn't much more than OBD11 for plain coding with a handbook/guide).

Its www.Vcpsystem-forum.de You should find an Registration Button in the VCP Software so you can gain access. If the button is not showing up and you are having an used interface - contact the polish Support with your Smartcard ID so you can register. |
