I don't know what to do...i have tried everything. Everytime i turn on the ignition i get the warning "Right brake light is defective". I did: - relpace all rear bulbs on both sides - Cleared all plugs - tried a different bulb holder
Important all brake lights work
Do you have any ideas how to fix this issue? Could it be a faulty brake light switch?

Afternoon , couple things that may help narrow down the problem.
My DSG Box has some live data called Brake light switch Brake test switch
under brakes
Brake system button Brake system sensor CAN input signal(s) status CAN output signal(s) status
under control unit 09 - output test
Which i think will put your lights on so you can prove the electrical connection to the light works.

I already did that. Tested all lights with obd output test. That's why i can say that all lights work.

Do the lights work full time or only when you run the output test
what about the other tests do they show any problems.

All lights are working 100% during output tests and while i drive. The error only comes once when i turn on my ignition after some minutes the warning message disappears on my fis. That makes zero sense in my eyes...

Had a quick look on the web and lots of different issues. Bad connections Bad control unit Water Old Car and wiring harness issues. As its an intermittent fault have you cleared it (because it sounds like the Fis control unit is seeing the old error and displaying it and then checks and cant find it so removes the warning.
Sorry update, also battery not being fully charged can cause stange output.

I've cleared the fault multiple times but it comes back everytime. I searched a lot what could cause the issue.... As i wrote in the first post i clear the plugs and so on and i don't think that the control unit is broken cause everything else is working fine. The wiring looks fine to me.

I finally managed to fix the issue. I did a normal scan while engine was not running and the fault was on static then i turned on the engine and actuated the brake pedal. After that the fault went from static to sporadic and then i cleared the fault. That was 3 days ago and i haven't faced the fault ever again.
