I turned it on this morning by running the 2 apps. I only have the pre-sense camera, so it only turns on @ 40mph and when the pre-sense camera can see the road.

Does it work well?
Do you recommend it ?
Any downside?

I didn’t like it at all. Bounces back and forth too much. And I hate the very short amount of time it controls the car. Then beeps at me to take control. Even with both hands on the wheel it beeps at me. Very annoying.

I have it enabled and its pretty convenient when on the highway. There is an app in OBD to increase how long until you get the "take the wheel" warning which helps.
The inability to turn it off is a little frustrating. And make sure if someone drives your car, they are aware that this may kick in and nudge them from time to time.

If you want to have the ability to turn it off and on, you need to install the updated turn aignal indicator that has the ALA button
