Gateway Faults

[ilbabis]

Tried to do some mods yesterday and I got 15(!) gateway faults coming up . I had previously imported modules that wasn't selected by default . 

So my car is a Golf GTD 17' and most of the errors are for modules that are not used in the car. 
Tried to revert everything but the faults still come up

Don (dv52) would know more but what do you mean by “I had previously imported modules that wasn't selected by default”
If you mean you selected modules that weren’t in the car then that could well be your problem as the car is looking for the modules because you’ve told the software you have them but the hardware is not answering back, you’ll have to go back in and remove the missing modules

Yes the problem are the modules which I installed. Removed most of them and now I have 4 faults. The problem now is that I don't know the original modules that came with the first add of the car. Removing the car and then adding it again doesn't help.

Excellent I just removed all the modules with the black mark and that did the trick . No more faults after clear !
The multifunction module is yellow if I remove it I get no faults, if I add it I get a fault in gateway .

Somebody greatly messed up the installation list in the Gateway, as two control modules were added (why?) and at least one has been removed (112400) (again - why?) You find this list in the adaptions.
Are there history entries on this?
Modifying the installation list is only needed when adding or removing a hardware component to or from the CAN, as this list is directly telling the gateway which modules are built in. (OBD11 uses this list too for the control module overview)

Never heard from a MQB that doesn't show that message. But as Keyless is installed, the warning should definitely come up anyways

not always does it show in MFD only certain cars

The only fault that concerns me is the camera because it actually acc activated and deactivated on it's own yesterday while I was driving...

Well there is no history for the modules adding / removing but with a little help I can removed and add this necessary.

ACC activating on its own would be module 13 and incredible strange.
ACC did complain about a missing message some kilometers ago - this might be a reason to stop operation.
OBD11 does not go that deep into errors - still this is not static, so this might be a one shot, having all possible reasons (even coding some modules might cause this=

I am having camera malfunctions every now or then, but never a dependant system also spotting that error.

Still you are having control modules built in your car which aren't know to the gateway. That might cause all kinds of trouble.

Still you are having control modules built in your car which aren't know to the gateway. That might cause all kinds of trouble.

Yes that might be the reason . I didn't use the correct word there, acc is not activated on it's own, it just becomes unavailable for a second or two and then it's back. Can you tell me which modules you reckon are installed and shouldn't be ; the only mods I have done are interior lighting and blinker mods.

As the first two are intermittent, clear them first to seee the if they are coming back.

The last one suggests a control module is on the bus communicating, but not in the gateway's list of controllers.
Do you have DCC, DSG or Panoramic Roof? Then it is missing in the gateway...
