Hi, folks. I'm new here. I've searched extensively and haven't found what I need, so I figured I'd turn to the experts directly. Apologies in advance if I've missed something. I have a 2018 GTI SE (US version). I purchased the OBDEleven dongle about six weeks ago and just got a chance to start playing. My Android tablet functions fine — I can see everything and have a strong wifi connection. I am not a programmer, but I am comfortable with what I've seen in long coding. However, some commands have changed, some I can't find (could certainly be my fault), and some just don't take. If you have any info on these issues, I'm very grateful. Here's a sampling. 1. DRLs remain on with turn signals All commands are available and all re-set to "nicht aktiv," then re-checked to be sure changes were applied. Re-coding does not seem to have any effect. 2. Enable comfort window opening "ZV Comfort" menu does not display but can be found by searching. Re-coding does not seem to have any effect. 3. Enable remote to control windows "Funk Komfort oeffnen/shcliessen" commands not found. Any idea if they've been renamed? 4. Enable windows after key off and door open Commands not found. Any ideas? 5. Refuel quantity in DIS Works properly. I only include this in case you think I'm completely incompetent. That's what I've got for now. I don't want to go screwing around more widely in case I'm actually doing something very basic very wrong. If anybody has ideas, I'm all ears. Thanks!

Maybe your looking at the mk7 coding and not the 7.5, can be totally different beasts when it comes to modules, or 2018 has new modules that the options don’t work on

BALLER. Thank you! I'll try it tomorrow. Here is a link to the coding video I have done on a 7.5 for remote windows that definitely work.

Update. Weirdness. Success. Mostly.
BIG ups to Sandjam for his help here. I'm pretty sure I had done the steps he had recommended, but perhaps not. Here's what I got.
In 09 Central Electrics, "ZV Komfort" is not a menu choice. (I'm aware that there are two sets of A–Z listings.) HOWEVER, strangely, it can be found by searching "ZV," in which case several options come up, as opposed to only two that are displayed initially. Weird. I wonder how many other options are lurking undiscovered throughout the diagnostic/adaptation system.
I can set four of the five parameters Sandjam tweaked, but when I set "Comfort Open" to "Active," and then save, I get a message: "(31) Function not available" in a red bar where the green bar with "Adaptation accepted" would normally appear. Indeed, if I leave the module and then go back, or even if I close the app and then re-launch, "Comfort Open" is still set to "Not Active" and I can't seem to get it to stick on "Active."
That said, the key fob opening and closing now works. What does NOT work is holding the driver's window switch down or up to open or close all windows. For me, that's a good trade, but it's still odd and frustrating that the functions don't work predictably.
If there's something I'm doing wrong, I'm all ears (eyes). Thanks again to Sandjam, member of the week in my book.

Thanks again to Sandjam, member of the week in my book. That doesn't sound right. Are you on a U.S. MK 7.5 Golf R? When you go into control unit 09, did you first go to security access and enter the code before going to adaptation? ZV Komfort should be listed all the way at the bottom of the adaptations. The fact that it did not display says to me you have the wrong car inputted or your VIN is off, but you are not seeing all the menu items correctly. Did you try and clear the cache on your phone or tablet you are using? That clears up a lot of these function not available issues too. Also, did you enable comfort windows in the Infotainment system?

One other thought.
Did you select your car's model and put in your VIN in the OBD11 app? The app selects the wrong car a lot of times automatically.
You should verify your VIN and the correct Year/Model is selected in the app. This affects what you see in the control units.

You should verify your VIN and the correct Year/Model is selected in the app. This affects what you see in the control units. Hey, sorry for the late reply — busy time of year for me. Yes, the model and VIN are entered correctly. It's a GTI, not an R, though I'm not sure why that should affect these few items. I figured out the problem with "ZV Komfort" not appearing in the menu. This one was user error. The menu is truncated by the keyboard at the bottom of the screen, so the last four or five menu items are hidden, and revealed when searching. File under "DUH." I got the remote to control the windows from outside, so score one for me. This makes me think I'm doing something else incorrectly, but I'll be damned if I can figure out what. The one that's bugging me most is the DRLs refusing to remain on with the signals. Maybe I've missed something, but I've checked the six codes several times and they appear to be correct. Any ideas gratefully received. Cleared the cache on the app and on the device. No effect. Thanks again.

I may be wrong but I don’t think DLR’s have been found yet on the facelift

I may be wrong but I don’t think DLR’s have been found yet on the facelift Well, that would probably explain it, though I’d never discount the possibility that I’m just dim.
