I would like the exhaust valves to stay open all the time. What would be the coding for this? I have a 2016 S3

Hello, you have and application direct to open valves, you don't need to coding this.

How do you know if the valves are open? My understanding is that in race/dynamic mode the valves/flaps open above a certain rpm? If the app just disables them where they are why the cars stopped will they not be then closed?

If the app just disables them where they are why the cars stopped will they not be then closed? On idle, the valves are open. As you accelerate the vales close. Then the vales open again as you step on it harder (which RPM depends on driving mode).

dv52 (Australia) is there a long code to keep the valves open at all times or from a remote (close from a push of a button)? When unlocking my car, the valves reset to closing.

I've just noticed that a new app has been added to OBDeleven for the exhaust flaps. It shows up on the list for my 8V S3. I have not tried it. Might be easier if anyone is unfamiliar with long coding.

bunnas that app is to allow the valves to stay open during low idle rpm. What I am looking for is to have the valves stay open at all times minus when being used with the remote most valved exhaust sell separately. When the car is off and resets, before turning on, the exhaust flaps reset to close.

Used the app over a week ago. It works. Start the car, shift the transmission into D\S tap it down into Sport mode. Shift it into park, switch off the car. insert the OBD11 Pro, turn on the ignition, use the app to set exhaust flaps to off/disable. Thats it. Running on all 4 exhaust pipes. it looks much better with 4 black pipes as opposed to only two, and the sound is noticeable when on the throttle.
