Hello. I do not know if this is where i post this question. A moderator can point me in the wrong direction if wrong i hope.
I have two Golf MK7. And they only have coming home lights activated. There is a option in the car settings where it says leaving home. Both cars have bi xenon headlights, fog lights and led drl. Is it possible to activate the leaving home function with Obdeleven? If i could set it to taillights and foglights when i lock the doors with key for example?

Hi Andreash
The "Coming & Leaving home" function can be activated / deactivated from the Infotainment setup menu.
In some models for the "homecoming" option to work, once the car engine is turned off, the long lights must be flashed from the light lever, when the car is closed the lights will be turned on for as long as you have programmed in the menu.
Greetings. Thank you for your reply. Yes i know that flashing the lights before leaving the car activates the leaving home function. But i was wondering if it could be activated by pressing the lock button on the key? I had a Audi who did this by pressing the lock button on the key😊

^^^ OK - we need to get the terminology correct so that we can all understand each other. "Coming home" ( CH) lights is where the driver leaves the car to come-home. "Leaving home" ( LH) lights is where the driver is outside the car and he/she unlocks the vehicle. To operate CH (not LH), the driver can "flash the lights" (if the appropriate channel in the BCM is set to "manual").
To operate LH: - the car must have an OEM Light sensor installed (on the windshield)
- the appropriate channels to enable the LH function must be set in the BCM
- the box on andreash's screenshot above must be set
- the rotary light switch must be set to the AUTO position
- it must be dark.
- the driver must be of good moral character
Don
PS: Of course I'm joking about the last dot point in my list!!

As I said, CH is enabled by setting-up the appropriate adaptation channels and flicking the high beam stalk before leaving the car. It's actually the easier of the two types of functions because it doesn't need a light sensor fitted to the car, nor does it need a rotary light switch with an AUTO position

Thank you😊 Yes i know the flick with high beam works. But like i said i had a Audi, where the lights went on when i locked the car with key. That way way there was no need to flicker the high beam before leaving the car. This is not programmable?

Lock key is not possible.
But there is the possibility to just keep the lights on after turning off the ignition: 09-Adaption: Comfort Illumination
Coming Home Verbaustatus: automatic (Verbaustatus = Type of implementation, translation not literal) Coming Home Einschaltereignis: ignition (Einschaltereignis = Trigger)

Yep. There is no change on the timers.
In that adaption you can also set different and longer timers, but this is a but hacky. These are the default values which will be used when resetting lights to default. Touching the timer-slider in the MMI will overwrite that setting, forcing you back to the maximum the slider can be set to.
