Are u able to long code for folding mirrors or it has to have it as an option when buying the car?

Would love to know this as well, but first need to find mirrors with motor built in - which seem impossible to find

Yes you can retrofit folding mirrors to your A3 and then code them to fold with obdeleven, very easy job.
If you have more questions about this, just ask because I did this retrofit a few weeks ago.

No, you have to buy the car with folding mirrors, they cannot just be coded. There is a motor and hardware required to fold the mirrors it's not just software based. If you buy the side mirrors and install them then they can be coded.
