Hi, I've been using OBDeleven since about a month. I connected my first car without any problems. My friend had some trouble with his car so I offered him to read out his car. At this moment I had my first problems in connecting a second car until I found out adding new Cars only works by adding für VIN.
So far so good.
After that I came up with another issue. When trying to connect to another car than my own I added when setting Up OBDeleven for the first time, I need two to three tries until it connects successfully. Furthermore, after a successful connection it doesn't automatically identify what control units the car do have. It always lists the same 15 control units my own car has.
Am I doing Something wrong or is this some Bug of the App?

You should be able to connect to unlimited cars and OBDeleven should identify the car. Only if it's not able to identify the car you're asked to enter the VIN. => I would say it's a bug if this occours every time Same for the CU. That's not normal. => Bug Feel free to report all bugs you encounter in the " RELEASE CHANGE LOG AND BUG REPORTS" subforum. Choose the app version you have and post there

Hey, thanks a lot for your reply. In fact I have no limitation in connecting cars but it feels kinda buggy when connecting to a new one. Anyways, glad to see there is a thread for reporting bugs. I will use it as I like to help and support the developers.
Und da ich sehe, dass du auch in DE ansässig bist, möchte ich "unter uns" auch nochmal Danke sagen ;-)

So yesterday I had an awesome experience which isn't really a bug but complies to My expectation:
I read out My friend's 2004 Skoda Fabia 6Y. I had his car already in My Garage but threw it out so see if the automatic identification works. In fact, not. I ended up entereing the VIN and after a few seconds I was connected. First I wasn't able to read out engine ECU (may be according to My Tablet - will be reported) but using My Smartphone fixed it. Anyways, as I wasn't able to identify the car automatically by reading out the VIN I'm quite sure this depends on the old electronics of the car. It was the same Problem I had with My other friend's 2004 VW Polo 6N. In both cases entering the VIN by hand solved the Problem. It's a bit uncomfortable but it fixes the Problem and once you're in you can do all the stuff.
