Hello everyone,
So I have enabled the reversing screen on my 2016 A3 Saloon and when I scan I get an error for Central Electrics - U101400 - Control Module incorrectly coded. When I remove the mod via obdeleven again the error has gone, is this something that just happens?

^^^retroash: Hi. I'm not familiar with the "reversing screen" APP (I never use APPs because they make changes to the car that I'm not aware-of - IMO it's better to make changes manually), but (in addition to coding changes) you need to have the rear view camera physically installed. I'm not sure if this was the problem in your case
My understanding is that before an OBD11 App will install, there are a number of preconditions that must be satisfied. So, the APP goes through a series of tests - checking that the car's CAN network is set-up appropriately. Clearly in your case, these tests all passed successfully (because the APP loaded correctly). If you got the error message, it means (I think) that either something else in the car's coding was incompatible, or that a physical piece of equipment is missing!!
Happens sometimes, but that said - lots of APPs install without problems too !!

Yeah the app loaded OK and the reversing screen works as expected, (the reversing screen does not use a camera but show a picture of the car and then graphic bars to show how close you are to obsticals as well as hearing the beep) I did not come across any issues just the coding fault when doing a scan. pichost
