Hi, I received a new dongle in the post straight from obdeleven site. Opened it and plugged it into my seat Leon cupra 300 car port, connected / paired with bluetooth first, paired fine. Then opened the app and searched for the device and it found it no problem. However when I press connect ... it just constantly keeps trying to connect. I’ve tried uninstalling app and clearing caches and then repeating the connection process, but still nothing. Also tried using another android device and still stuck on same connecting screen! Can anyone HELP ?

I believe that you don't have to actually pair the device with your phone you just plug it in, make sure that Bluetooth on your vehicle is off, open app and set up account then press connect. So to remedy I would unpair and get your phone to forget the device. Hope this helps?

Plus you need a good WiFi/4G signal Hi thanks for replying bud! Unfortunately I have tried this and it’s still not working. The adaptor only seems to be visible for about 30 seconds then I have to unplug and plug it back in to get the bluetoooth to find it again. I’m thinking it’s a dodgy dongle ?

Same here. Exactly the same issues and no lights on the device at all.

Nothing. I have attempted a few times throughout the day, but no joy. I have contacted technical support both through the app and on the website but I haven't yet received a response. To be honest, I think the dongle is faulty given it doesn't even light up.

This is for people who do have a light (and the guy who said it kept disappearing off Bluetooth list) On on android app, go into settings, then Bluetooth and make sure the obdeleven 2 (or whatever you called your next gen dongle is NOT paired Now go into obdeleven app, then hit the 3 bars in the top right corner, then hit device You should see obdeleven 2 in the list of devices, hit the bin next to obdeleven 2 so you should either have firstgen or nothing Now hit the 3 bars at top right of screen and click home Now tap the big round connect button in the middle of the screen if you don’t have a light then check the fuse for the obdeleven port (I think this is the one you want)

I tried plugging in my generic OBD2 reader to confirm the socket had power, it does.

UPDATE - Ok so, I unpaired every known Bluetooth device from my phone. Re-installed the app. And turned my phone off and on again. It managed to pair with the dongle, but still no lights. Strange. But it seems to work ok despite the lights not coming on. I paired the dongle through the app and not the settings on my phone.

My loading screen hangs too. I only have a red and then a green light when I want to connect the adapter. Sometimes the app crashes the first time you try to connect. Earlier I was able to connect the device and enter the PIN for the Bluetooth connection, the app recognized my first generation device and added it to the device list. I still couldn't connect to the vehicle. I restarted my smartphone and reinstalled the app .... Without improvement. Is the plug broken? Last time a week ago, it was still working perfectly.

When you have connected to the dongle
Go to Settings and you should see LED INDICATIONS if they are same as this pic then i would suspect a problem with dongle

I think my dongle is defect, I can connect it with my phone and enter the 1234 pin and can also add it to devices in the app. The connecting screen runs without a break and the dongle shines red and green. Please help me.
