Hey guys, Just purchased myself an odbeleven, coded some things i wanted in, but now i want to be able to code the footwell ambient lights to be always on, with engine or with lights etc... I know this is possible through vagcom, can anyone help me with the long coding steps i need in order to do this?
Many thanks, Adam

Quick update i went into the long coding settings and activated the settings for the footwell lights installed and the ambient light setting on. I think maybe because i have a dash error with my sidelight bulb not working, the coding wont work as its a fault with lighting and restricts it from working? I'm not sure but ill have to change the bulb and retest

Ambient lighting via footwell light, is only posible if your CECM support it. You must have 09 central electric module which starts with 3c8. 3c0 module won't let the footwell light work as ambient lighting while driving.

I know this is possible through vagcom As Saschav stated, not all modules support this. Your other option if you want to keep your existing module would be to do it in EEPROM, but I don't see any documentation on that..... ....................................OR...................................... Do it the ghetto way, and actually wire the footwell lights to an ignition ON section of circuitry so that they remain ON when the ignition is on, yet retain the functionality of ignition OFF, but the lights come on when the doors are opened.
