Just got a 2006 golf plus for commuting.
Noticed the "leaving" and "coming" home lights were on for 30 secs and changed them to 10 with the app.
Works fine but indicators don't flash when locking, pretty sure they didn't before but definitely don't know.
Really annoying as keep coming back to vehicle to check its locked....
Any ideas ?

I'll tell you where to look for it later today when I get to my Golf.

This would be a Central Convenience option. I had forgotten to check it out for you when I got back to my car. I'll do so today, and let you know. If your PM your e-mail address, I can send you some VCDS screenshots.
It would be the field in the module with the word "confirmation" at the end.

I was eating food at the time of recording this video demonstrating the feature in VCDS. The steps are the same in OBDeleven
Tell me if this works for you.

Matthew, really appreciate your help.
Just looked and the correct boxes are ticked already.
The only fault code I have in comfort system (46) is:
Trouble codes: 00849 - S-contact at ignition starter switch Implausible signal static
It probably needs a new ignition switch as the radio occasionally turns itself off then on when moving, thinking the ignition is off.
Not sure that would affect anything when the ignition is off anyway and the car is being locked?

My indicators don't flash if the door locking fails. Annoying problem, not yet sure what causes it.
Regardless if your indicators don't blink on lock, I would double check all doors to verify that they locked.

If your locks don’t work the indicators won’t flash, it lets you know they’re broken, Usually the drivers door as it gets the most use, there are 3 limit switches which fail, they are simple normally open switches so easy to test with a meter or a light bulb, I did have the connection to the motor fail on one of mine too.

My indicators don't flash if the door locking fails. Annoying problem, not yet sure what causes it. It was the passenger door lock mechanism. Replaced that and now the locks and blinks have worked fine.

there are 3 limit switches which fail, they are simple normally open switches so easy to test with a meter or a light bulb In my opinion, if you even remotely suspect that there is an issue, just replace the locking mechanism AND switches. It isn't worth the risk of not realizing that your car is inadvertently left unlocked around thieves or you are literally locked inside your own car due to the "SAFE" feature that renders the inner door handles inoperative (even after being pulled twice). I had that experience once in my 2-door hatchback. I had to end up climbing out the trunk (using the emergency lever inside the trunk lid. There is a known issue with the wiring by the door hinges being chaffed over time. I can attest to this in the MK5 and MK6 Golf Jetta chassis being an issue here in Jamaica.

Thanks that's the clue I needed. I was playing with the lock indicator blink coding today and then the indicator lights didn't blink on lock and the internal lights stayed on. Spent 2 hrs going throught the history and recoding but nothing worked. Apparently I simply didnt shut the hatch door properly. No blink does indeed indicate theres a door not shut properly. Very lateral cure.
