2011 Audi S5 4.2L. When I access Gateway through the app and not connected to the car I see Battery Adaptation. However, when I connect to the car that is no longer visible and all I see is Long Coding Adaptation. Has anyone run into this and if the Battery Adaptation is not available does anyone know how to do the Long Coding adaption. All I really need to do is change the battery serial number as it is an OEM replacement.

Did you figure this out? I need to code a new Battery for my 2009 Audi A5 and I bought this thinking it would work but I can't find any battery registration once I plug it in and connect.

have a read of this thread wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Battery_Replacement they show the long adaption method. This is not my car and i have no knowledge of the setup but i have the same on my car where off line it shows a radio control unit but when connected it does not this is because its classified as a sub control unit so the cunctions are all covered else where. Hope that helps if not then push the guys on the Support app for an answer.
and here is a video of how it looks on VCDS

I had to put my new battery with out adaption, due to the topic problem, the new battery is identical as the old one, so I still need to adapt it?

Found another thread about this, I can’t try this my self today but Gateway19-long adaption-channel 4. Ok, just Did the changes on channel 4, got 10 digits - vendor - 10 digits , swapped out the last letter from D to B, code got accepted and everything, if it worked, I have no idea.
