I´m getting both messages "Front assist unavailable" "ACC unavailable" quite often: when it rains after 15-30 min., in cold weather, when humid air (or fog) condenses and froses. Not necessarily has to do with hand-on simulator, as I still do na have it. Thanks for the information! Maybe it's just bad luck indeed, first time this happened the car had a frozen windshield and it was thawing. Other times the view was clear though, but it always happened a few hundred meters from the departure early morning or evening, and I live in a moisty area. Will check if this pattern continues.

It's working fine. At the beginning I was frequently getting errors with several system failures showing in the head unit, but it hasn't been doing that for ~2000km. I think the errors were related to bad outdoor conditions like fog or frost a you said.
In the end, I don't regret doing the mod, did 1200km of highway with this and I didn't have to touch the steering wheel or the pedals as long as the traffic was fluid.

Hello everyone,
I'm currently considering installing this mod and I'm curious about whether it's worth it? I'm concerned about potential implications regarding warranty and any associated problems: overheating module, ...?
Thanks

And the bouncing and Hands on steering wheel is gone since the modified Dataset on A5. It will remind me every 10 Minutes to grab the Steering Wheel. When changing lane on highway it will reset, but enables again automatically. Don’t know if real Travel Assist does it too. Do you mean you got rid of the warning to take over the steering wheel when using retrofitted TA? If so, how did you manage to do that? I don't want to fidle with my steering wheel as the car is a lease, but also don't want that warning.

Mine is leasing too. You need a VAS 6154A Device and a Laptop.

If I grasp it correctly... you're saying that by just coding, you can stretch out this 10-15 second warning to 10 minutes without needing to install the AliExpress mod or swap out the steering wheel for a capacitive one? Do you happen to have a capacitive steering wheel already?

I don’t have capacitive steering wheel. Just possible with flashing the A5 to extend the „Hands on steeringwheel“ up to 10 minutes. Therefore you need the mentioned VAS dongle for OBD port. It might be possible by retrofitting KLR and coding. But expensive and need a lot of time. My method is done in 15 minutes and price is 20 bugs.

Is this as "Travel assist" function (button on steering wheel) or "Lane assist with centering", which activates above 60kmh? Just to be sure Thanks

It is same, just without the Button on the Steering Wheel. If you have EPB it will keep lane until it stops. Called Traffic Jam Assist. I don’t have EPB so i have to brake manually in Traffic Jam not to interrupt Travel Assist.
